Quick on the draw si veggie joe dahil nila-lock na ngayon ng mga mods ang mga gig announcement threads once the gig is over. Am surprised nga na open pa 'yung thread kanina -- thank goodness. Maybe we can suggest that the gig nnouncement threads are kept open for a little time longer so folks can post pics/comments and others know where to look for them -- logical lang naman na sa original gig announcement ang mga "review" ng performance.

Rakrakan, with regards to your last post on that thread, game ang blue rats kung may round 2. But the evening really should belong to the great guys who worked so hard and are featured on the CD. Guest lang kami kung mauulit.   

vjoe - thanks for the pics and reviews.  i got some decent vids w/ good audio of firebottle set and the jam but i need to shrink them down under 100mb to be able to post on youtube. will post later, to complement your photos. i know gerry has more, i hope he posts them here too.

- my face looks funny, parang binatak sa photoshop! anyway, tone is in d peys!
- kita nyo ba si fafa erick!  nazareno ang buhok pero malmsteen ang porma!  show us more cleavage fafa erick!  lupit ng groove mo sa Kulukati, Firebottle, at sa jam!  (btw, meron ba nakakuha ng strap ni Erick? nawala eh! paki PM siya (Valve) or ako pag meron kay impormasyon. may reward ata
- my "drum face" pala si Kakoi!  lufet din sa drums. telephatic talaga kahit anong instrument.
- sayang wala sa pictures si "Fred Flinstone"... tinerno nya nya ang leather boots sa duster! 

galing galing lahat ng bands kagabi:  from the angst and originality of Dahon, to the tight but syncopated grooves of Kulukati + original/innovative gtr+great vox and stage presence, to the sweet kerrrang and locomotive-chugging of Snakecharmer, and the anthemic classic rock of Plug (parang "The Best of Classic Rock" in one set... isa kang animal Chester!).   pati yung jam parang naging feature na rin kagabi kasi tight pa rin tugtugan - dami tuloy pumasok at nanood!  pati kami ni kakoi na nagnu-noodle on tele and laptseel (Amazing Grace, Feeling Sad Blues, Baby Please Dont Go, etc...) inappreciate pa rin ng mga taong natira.  what a great audience - salamat po sa lahat ng dumalo!

sopwith - thanks for lending the Burny LP!  i hope you enjoyed hearing your LP in a live setting. i certainly did.

blue buddah - ayos ba?  To paraphrase Bono, "All i need is a red guitar, 3 chords, and a bottleneck!"  sulit and thanks for the tip and help!

hehe, kakabuo lang ng three piece ko...syempre blues din ang thema--ako ang gitarista e, hehe no choice sila.wish us luck guys na makatugtog din kami sa mga blues venue dito sa america..kahit sa maliit na dive lang....sana walang mag judge ng kulay namin, at ma-carry namin bandila ng pinoy.....just like you guys 

anyways....kung makauwi man(or pauwiin ni uncle sam-hihi)...cgurado sama ako sa jam ninyo mga blues bros! ang saya ng pinoy blues scene a!

Power trio + vocals. A tele that sounds more like an LP with tasty textures on the solos! Fresh sound! More! More!

KULUKATI

Great stage presence by the vocalist... the dude with 'tude!
Hey Kit! I love your playing, man! It's so different! Doggone it, where the hell do you get your ideas for soloing?!!! Erick, don't leave your funky 12-string bass at home again! Kasama yun sa signature Kulukati sound!

SNAKECHARMER

Hard-hitting rhythm section, crunchy guitar chords and smooth solos. The P.A. was working fine and I finally got to hear solid vocals and Roneil's keyboard playing! Ayus! When you come and watch these guys, don't leave your eagplugs at home!

FIREBOTTLE

Joric bared his soul in his compositions... heart-rending... kanino kaya in memory of... ? 
Nathan plays a modern counterpoint to Joric's raw, old school style of blues guitar. But deltaslim also transforms into Derek Trucks at will!   Plus bonus tasty slide guitar and harp licks from guest player Kakoi.

PLUG

Great arrangements on their orig. blues songs, and awesome Allman Bros., Skynyrd and Cream renditions... fiery and plakado! scary!
