Hey y'all. This past week I hung out at Backdoor Blues Cafe in Maginhawa St., Sikatuna Village, Quezon City. The place is so cool -- good inexpensive food, nice ambience, fresh air, cool brew. Most of all it's got loads of authentic blues music playing continuously. Not just stuff you already hear on radio or albums avail from stores, but rare and hard to find live concerts, import albums, etc.
I'm proposing all the "blues brothers and sisters" have an EB sometime this Aug. We can enjoy the music there at Backdoor Blues Cafe or bring some of our own favorites to expose each other to new or undiscovered blues music. Should be a nice 'party'. We'll give nametags out and prolly think of other activities. I know a handful of people are already "in".
So, who's game? Suggestions for a date/schedule (what day of the week is good)?
UPDATE: I've changed the thread title to finalize the date. Also added a suggested start time, 6pm para derecho na dun yung mga galing sa office like me (altho I'll be there by 5pm). Some people are also planning to hop over to the Blue Rats gig at Mag:net much later in the evening so it might be a good idea to come early if you wanna join that group. Btw, na-invite din namin ang tropa ng Blue Rats na sumama sa listening party before their gig.
