this used to be an rj ventures strat, but mang max really gave it a whole new look with this natural finish mahogany body.


ganda nung figure ng mahogany, parang relic na hindi.


looks great at the back too.  you can see the body's made from just two blocks.


this is a satin-finish na polyurethane.  it feels very "woody", parang walang finish, pero makinis siya.



sound quality has improved over the old "palochina blocks of wood" body, with more sustain and a more open tone.  it's not as light as the old rj body, but it's not as heavy as you'd think considering it's mahogany.  overall, solid value for money!

rough estimate land bro baka less than 1k or 1k max. unless he would view it as a repaint hehe, asa 2k kasi ang refinish/repaint for whole body ng guitar.

better yet, dalhin mo talaga ung gtr, actually when i called him, he quoted 1k e, pero nung dinala ko, 500 lang nagastos ko.

for the mahogany body and finish, 3.5k.  Add p800 for the bone nut and neck adjustment system (the one with the hole at the base plate to change the neck angle - galing talaga ni mang max, di ko hiningi yun, pero sabi niya "kailangan niyo yun, ser").

kagagaling ko lang kila mang max. parang may kakaibang tunog yung 3rd string ko  di ko mahanap kung bakit. nakita nya yung problema using his magnifying glass (na lens ata ng DLSR camera hehehe), nasa locking nut ko pala yung problema, hindi pala pantay kaya medyo nag iiba yung tunog. natry naming lihain yung nut pero ganun pa din yung tunog ng 3rd string.

ang bait ni mang max sya yung bibili ng bagong locking nut. tapos babalik na lang ako sa wednesday para makabit nya.

yes gumagawa din sya ng custom guitar kahit from scratch. nung last na dumaan ko pinakitaan nya ko ng pics ng recent na nagawa nya, esp eclipse copy.
