BLUES SARACENO thread
« on: October 27, 2009, 01:16:07 PM »
This guy is a monster guitar player! He still has the sh*t after all these years. His tone is so unique and distinctive, you'll know right off the bat if he's the one playing or not. In my opinion, Saraceno personifies what blues rock guitar really is. It's high-time we dedicate a thread in honor of this extraordinary guitar player. So, start posting your thoughts and comments now! Thanks!

Oh, did I mention he used to have the coolest guitar ever?..

Hanep talaga 'tong si Blues mga pards, isa din siya sa mga kilala kong magaling gumamit ng delay.

Some of my faves:

-Before the storm
-Lighter shade of plaid
-Tommy gun
-Rabbit soup
-Pretty people
-Chewing on crayons
-Girth

I guess it has something to do with how he grips the neck of the guitar. Check-out his vids and you'll know what I mean.

One of my favorites! Love the song "The Scratch" and I also like a couple of the songs he did with Poison (he was a replacement guitarist to Richie Kotzen since Poison fired Richie)... :-) Check some of his youtube videos with Poison, he's the only one in the band who didn't wore Glam clothes..hehe!

Blues Saraceno will always be remembered as "The Guy Who Replaced Eric Clapton."

Anyway, here's a treat for all of us. Listen to this track, one of my favorites and one of the best guitar instrumentals I've ever heard. Though he's a straight funky blues rock guitarist, Blues still managed to incorporate some neo-classical lines right in the middle of the song. It just shows you how versatile this fellow really is.

Enjoy! :-D
