What makes a song Pinoy? What artists or bands do you consider OPM?

My piece of mind is that OPM is soooo muussssuuuuhhh. Like for example, Ogie Alcasid. He is always OPM this, OPM that. But very few of his songs are playing on the radio so I dont hear him sing at all. And i remember JayR saying hey yes, please support the OPM, dawg. But 80% of the songs in his album are inggles so im like wow, really?

Dun sa first word pa lng na "Original" lagapak na halos mga "sikat" na "OPM" singers / groups (kuno) dito sa tin eh. Puro cla remake ng remake ng mga foreign and local songs (esp, 80's / 90's songs. Ilang versions na ba ng "With a Smile" ang narinig ko?) >.<
Para sa kin, dpt ang OPM singer / group ay mag contribute din ng bago at original na material / compositions. Hindi ung makiki-ride lng sa popularity ng isang kanta at 75%+ ng kanilang mga kanta ay remakes. Ok lng to pay tribute to other artists sometimes but mengz, wag nmn sa 90% ng set list / album / EP mo.
That is why I admire those who compose new Pinoy songs (be it english or tagalog). That's why I saludo ako sa PNE & other pinoy bands and yes even kay Lito Camo and Willie Revillame

another example is this jed madela. i am very annoyed by this personality. he or she always say opm, opm, opm till you die but he is always cover this and cover that. i am like "he is lucky i no longer go to school because i will ask him to plastic cover my notebooks". and when sings cover songs he is always want to raise the notes like "i am the last personality to cover this song because all the other singers are weak and cannot hit this B# note that i am singing anymore.", even though the original version is not high notes. in my humility opinion, he or she is making piggery of the songs he or she is covering.

Hindi ata niya alam what OPM Literally means, iniisip niya siguro eh Pinoy naman ako eh, so OPM artist ako

Yan ang soundtrip nila mama dati nung bata pa ako. Asin, fredie,etc....

Naalala ko dati may appearances pa sya sa noontime shows. Ngayon kahit guesting lang sa talk show walang wala.
