Re: yamaha dd55 digital na digital drums?
« Reply #100 on: May 14, 2007, 11:38:06 AM »
i think digi drums will help alot to get diff sounds and beats in a jiffy..
well ung dd55 i know i mas mura compared sa DTX.. bumili ung keyb namin for gaming purposes ayos cya, pero btin lang ata sa dami ng sounds, i duno if mas marami sa dd55 compared to DTX ,, ung mas advanced na series non mas marami na cguro...

may ganito yung drummer namin.

we attempted to use this in our meager recordings, but it didn't sound too good. pag rolling na, tunog armalite, ratatatata lalo yung snare.

help re ddcc5
« Reply #112 on: February 06, 2008, 10:11:21 AM »
ei friends, first time to post here. i usually hang out at the pro audio and bass place

anyway, i have a yamaha ddcc5 digital drums which is very useful for me in making music

im hoping you guys who may have knowledge could help re the ff:

1. how do i program the midi for each pads. i can't seem to understand the manual. im using sonar7 and loves what it brings in to my keyboards, would want to migrate the same on each of my pads. i have a yamaha usb-midi interface

2. is it normal for my kick drum pedal to be sooo sensitive everything i press it with the sole of my foot, it respond as if like a double pedal. im thinking of bringing it at yamaha for service. does anyone here know where to buy a kicktrigger, where i could use a standard kick pedal that kicks to this board that is connected to my ddcc5.

thanks friends

for me, it's a good alternative to the high cost of room treatment, cymbals upgrade, space problem. i use it for practice and recording. depends naman sa taste mo sa vst ng bawat pads e. kaya nga im hoping someone here knows more of midi transfer to each pads. i love what it could do with sonar

The Yamaha DTXplorer is a good buy. I tried it at Yupangco a month ago while I was shopping also for edrums. Maganda response niya pati sound quality. Ok din yung sensitivity at meron pang kasamang bass pedal. I almost got one but I decided to get a Roland TD3-SW. Iba kasi feel ng Roland plus mas realistic yung drum module. You get dual trigger snare, hihat and cymbals. If you upgrade to a TD6V module, your toms are dual trigger ready.

Pero kung yung budget is for the DTXplorer, you won't regret getting one.

Go to www.vdrums.com/forum may reviews sila dun ng dtxplorer, comparing it with other products.

Same price ng DTXplorer. :-D

if you have the budget to buy dtx there in ph, you can buy the roland td6 here in hk. dagdag ka lang ng konti pa. :-) as a roland owner i'll say much better ang tunog and feel nya kaysa dtx. kung gusto mo makadinig ng sample ng roland check mo d2. http://rocktadeo.multiply.com/ may sample recording ako jan yung World War 3 using my TD6 kit all instruments played by me.

Mahal talaga eDrums dito. Half price if you buy it abroad.

Timpanista, how much is the TD6-SW in HK? I assume you got it at Tom Lee.

The challenge is to bring the whole thing in a plane since we only have a limit of 70 pounds with a total of 62 inches in total dimension per baggage.

Box 1 is the TD3-KW - drum module and pads. You may remove the contents and put it in a regular balikbayan box.

Box 2 is the MDS-3C - drum rack stand. Dimension is 36 x 30 x 7 inches. You can't put this in a plane but you can have it shipped. Around 65USD if you use the door to door forwarders.

You can also buy it online and have it shipped but the shipping charge is around 450USD. The well known online stores (musiciansfriend, Samash) does not ship Roland products outside the USA. You can buy at Audiolines.com since they can ship internationally.
