since galing sila sa factory ng zildjan k sa turkey...so technically ang tunog ng istanbul ay level sa K custom?  may makakapag patunay ba dito? mga bro's. kasi na bilib ako sa pagkakaga gawa at sa price..

I believe walang saktong katapat.. Pero yung istanbul agop traditional pati ung mehmet traditional siguro malapit.. Pero depende pa rin sa weight within that class. Yung Bosphorus Gold series baka medyo malapit din.

Sa site na to may mga samples ng bosphorus, istanbul agop and mehmet. Listen to the audio (sa left side nung screen ung choices ng brands ng cymbals). May tech rider din dyan kung ano ung ginamit na recording gear para dun sa mga samples.

dumaan ako ng lazer sm manila kahapon para bumili ng bass drum head, tinanong ko yung sa istanbul cymbals wala padin daw individual retailing...

maganda tunog nung mga sultan cymbals na nandun ah, i tried tapping em with my fingers, they're great jazz cymbals. yung china maganda din, it has a sweet china sound, not very oriental/trashy like.

OT: nakakairita pakinggan yung mga tumutugtog sa lazer studio. naawa ako dun sa staff. may nakita pa kong mga emo girly men kids dun na nakatambay, yung isa ginagawang fashion accessory yung drumsticks. lol
kung di mo alam, isipin muna ang GMG bago ang lahat: Google Mo, G**O!

OT: additional info, nung una stick twirls lang, tas nung huli habang umiikot (ikot lang talaga, parang walang aim) sila sa lazer store, yung sticks nakaipit sa butas ng pants niya na lagayan ng sinturon. cool! hehehe. astig pa ng mga damit ng mga bata ngayon, super daming kulay, naaalala ko tuloy lagi sapin-sapin. yum.

16" Radiant china- 5.6k
18" Radiant china- 6.5k

wala pa din nga daw yung individual cymbals.. nkakainis. hahaha.

Depende kung anong series ng Meinl/Istanbul

kung sa kung ano ang madaling masira....naku...depende yan sa bigat ng kamay ng gumagamit! HIndi pa ako nakakarining nang nakakasira ng Istanbul Traditional....at sana wala pa hanggang mamatay ako! hehehe

Pero....sa Istanbul...may mga timbang yan....kung mabigat kamay at rakista...yung makinang at mabigat...kung jazzer naman pero mabigat pa rin kamay...siguro...."Empire" (traditional finish siya sa ibabaw...pero unlathed sa ilalim) puede na.
