Band: We are not after the money.

Reader: Oh, come on! If you are not after the money, why are you selling your albums? :P

interviewer - what are your influences?
band/band member - DRUGS!

now here's some other cliches that do not amuse me one bit...

interviewer - what are your influences?
random pogi rock band - ah, syempre kasama ang beatles, eraserheads, rivermaya... (but when you hear said pogi rock band, their music doesn't bear a trace of the bands that they mentioned...)

interviewer - how do you feel about being pigeonholed in the emo scene?
random emo/screamo band - hindi kami emo! (insert long, usually nonsense explanation here)

random band - we try to be a good influence on the youth through our music... (pero paglabas nila ng booth, derecho sa paboritong inuman spot o magpapakasabog...i mean, i drink a lot myself, but a lot of bands, especially in the post-World Youth Day mid-'90s scene, could be so hypocritical saying that they try to promote positive values.  practice what you preach!)

Interview: Ano musical influences niyo?
It’s a fusion, you know?

after 5 years

Interviewer: Bakit kayo nag-disband?
Band: Musical differences

Maaaring hindi nga marinig 'yung traces sa music nila, pero ultimately, those bands might have struck a nerve in their brains to form a band. Now that's influence - making them/us move. Siguro kung ang tanong ay, "what are your templates for making music?" Templates for copying. lol

On topic:

Ano kaya 'yon, sarap batukan.
Ows? Di nga?
