Is there such a portable player that has the capacity to play 4tracks into 4 outputs. It has to be digital.
You see, there are a lot of live performers nowadays who use sequencers in live shows to reinforce the live band. A few years back, an MC50 sequencer is used for this feeding a sound module. But this is midi. Some players today use digital audio (specially when employing back up vocals in the sequence). The common set up is running a portable digital audio player to a mixer. Most digital players are only stereo. So one channel would be the audio sequence for the main mix while the other channel would be the metronome fed for the drummer.
It would be awesome to drive the sequenced audio in stereo. Its really troublesome to set up several equiptment for this set up. Usually a laptop with an interface, a mixer, etc. If there were a portable digital player with 3 or 4 bus that would be awesome.
Anyone know anything like this?
