Title: Need For Speed SHIFT

too much Gran Turismo methinks

like a sorta proper "racing simulation"

i like prev NFS games because its fun and not so serious

fair enough...
athough it is quite hard, it is ok..

drifting became difficult..
cars are not customizable..
you just race and race...
so it is quite boring,,,,

but the good side, graphics is quite better tahn previous ones(on psp)
also the songs!!! i love them!! ahaha

that's it...
6/10 for me.xD

p.s. Gran Turismo is good.. but very disappointing....

Now why would people buy a simulation game coming from an originally arcade game series when they could buy much better and comprehensive driving simulation games like Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport?

they should stick to what they do (or did) best.

I agree.

I loved Underground, Carbon, and Most Wanted. The more recent Undercover feels a bit lacking, but at least it was better than Prostreet.

And now they're reverting to the sim style again? What I liked most about the arcadey NFSes was the small degree of open-endedness. I mean, I could rev up the game and go for a drive, and instantly turn the whole joyride into a massive police chase. That was one of the series' better points.

yeah i love NFS series for the 'arcadey` feel and gameplay
esp underground 1-2
last i played was carbon, seems okay tho
just fun race and epic customization

cars are not customizable? I read in some forum na pwede palitan yung paint / vinyls, rims etc.
Who else can confirm na hindi customizable ang looks ng kotse?

Yun lang habol ko sa nfs games kaya pag di ganun ang shift eh di ko kukunin hehe :lol:

i didnt stay to find out, after the first race i got really turned off.

in all fairness, graphics is awesome, and the interface really feels like Gran Turismo. but yeah, since i dont plan to buy wheel controls, bleh nevermind.

sabi ng officemate ko may freedom pa din to customize on looks, pero not as extensive as the previous releases. on the other hand, as expected din, super extensive yung choices for performance and tuning upgrades.

i love the physics sa game na to compared sa prostreet. sana isama ung upgrades sa most wanted and street races then ok sana to.

then para sa mga nag rarant na simulation or mahirap etc. merong toggle nang realistic or arcade handling para lahat happy.

anung windows 7 ba gamit mo?32 0r 64? dalawa ang program files ng windows 7, isang typical program files for typical program at isang program files(x86) for high fidelity programs. luma na yang most wanted so most probably maganda iinstall mo siya sa program files not sa program files(x86). gagana yan sa windows 7 huwag ka magalala, yes, compatible siya. guys, pakicorrect na lang ako kung mali ako.

win7 32 bit yung gamit ko bro, please insert the correct DVD ang sinasabi pag maglalaro nako eh..san ba mahahanap yung typical prog. files at yung prog, files(86x) bro??

kung hinahanap niya cd kapag maglalaro kailangan mong magdownload ng nocd crack. type mo lang sa google for example "download NFS Most Wanted Nocd crack"

Post by: daysleeper on June 19, 2010, 01:36:39 PM: im having trouble installing NFS games too sa pc ko. im currently trying to install shift. ang hirap. yung most wanted nainstall ko. actually yung bro ko nag install. marami syang ginawa beyond the cd instructions. he did some copying and pasting sa mga program. di ko namn nakuha. yung shift di na nya ma install. nakalimutan nya or di nya magawa sa windows 7. any tips jan mga bro?

Post by: HellFire01 on November 25, 2010, 12:27:19 PM: I don't have the PS3 version of this, only the PC. Yup, manual is preferable as you can fully control when to shift, hence you'll be able to sustain high rpms while drifting.

Try feathering the throttle during a drift. Apply more gas and steering input when you feel the car is straightening itself up. Being gentle on the steering also helps :)
