Title: Silent Guitar - brand and feedback
Post by: pikapika2501 on April 27, 2015, 11:00:51 PM
Good day ko Phil Music Forumers.

Just wanted to ask if you have any comments, feedback, stories and experiences with Silent Guitars.

For me, my purpose and my interest is about acquiring one soon para madala sa office. Mahirap kasi yung hinihiram ang guitara, napaka prone sa bumps, and di kasi nila alam ang price. at bawat bangga sa guitar, nakakabawas sa pristine condition nito which is proportion sa resale value.

Now, if it's a silent guitar, bodyless, neck lang ang basis, extended na acts as its body na rin. Mawawala na yung hassle of bumps :) isa pa, you can practice whenever, wherever.

Tama ba ang opinion ko?

Help naman by posting your guitar, pics is very much appriated (it invites more readers), and your comments/feedback ++ and your story.

TIA

Kung scars from bumps ang concern mo I believe magagasgas din ang pintura ng metal body which would lower its resale value. Kung practice whenever wherever di rin possible yan unless may battery powered amp ka.

Bat di mo iconsider bumili ng cheaper acoustic na lang para sa office?

yeah a baby acoustic (preferrably phoebus baby 20) will suffice for practice whenever wherever.
isang advantage lang ng silent guitar eh kapag nagpractice ka wala ka talagang mabubulabog so pedeng kahit madaling araw :)
yung silent guitars ng yamaha yung gusto ko kasi pede earphone out :) (3.55mm jack FTW)
but still each to his own :D

+100

mahal ang decent silent guitar, at kung bumps and scratches lang ang pag-uusapan, di hamak na mas ayaw ko magkaroon ng damage yung silent guitar ko, kasi mapupuruhan dyan yung ka-liit na body, so every nick and scratch and bump is a higher percentage of the total surface area of the guitar.

kung ang main concern is bumps and scratches dahil pinapahiram, why not buy an affordable acoustic? a Phoebus or Cort with electronics maybe, kung kailangan i-plug.

Heard one. Yamaha silent guitar nylon by Aiza sa church ganda ng tunog with amp.

IMO played without amp does not give a true acoustic sound I would still prefer the dreadnought. 8-)

paps, mas acoustic sounding ang single coil. muddy sounding ang humbuckers ehnce may mga gitarang may splitcoil to have a clearer, glassier clean sound.

what you want are piezo pickups.

talaga? I always thought HH on the mid or neck position did the job very well. O dahil naghahanap ako ng mas swabe na lows, talagang HH para sakin ang panalo dun in terms of clean acoustic-y sound.

yes. middle single coil. then if run through an acoustic sim like the boss ac2/ac3, it sounds very convincing.

for HH, the middle setting is decent, but lacks punch. a compressor will help.

I should revisit that setting. kung mapapabili ako ng SSS/strat
