Let's have an EB for charity... i am willing to auction guitar strings, cables and other stuff and proceeds will go to the children of DSWD. Any suggestions on this matter? Let's help the less fortunate by:
1. giving the gift of music by playing and performing for the children ( i hope this is possible) to enrich their lives with the power of music and start their interest in music.
2. give any help in any form- monetary, clothes, food, books, toys and anything they can use.
I am thinking of a January ( 3rd week) event because the holiday season will be hectic :oops:.. Also i need contact numbers for DSWD staff to receive the proceeds of the event. Just remember we will have our own happy and abundant Christmas and New Year, sharing our LITTLE TIME and SOME SPARE CHANGE for a late celebration of the less fortunate will make us feel better. :wink:

i can help you out on contacts for DSWD and other organization na pedeng maging beneficiary. My wife is a Social Worker by profession pero nasa Private sya ngayon sa Shell. My wife even told me na mas ok pa nga daw maging beneficiary yung ibang organization kesa sa DSWD dahil gobyerno yan. lam mo naman ang corruption sa govt.

pag dating ng wife ko from Samar upd8 kita agad sir. shes conducting a training kasi ngayon eh. Pede ko rin isuggest yuyng bahay ampunan malapit sa may SM City West/North Edsa. Dun nga nakakuha ang wife ko ng baby girl para iadopt nung nasa college pa sya, kaya nagkaroon ako ng panganay bigla before ako ikasal :) pero daddy na talaga turing nung bata sa akin ngayon shes 11yo now. Kaya rin cguro gs2 ko yun na beneficiary.

Bro, easy lang... Some of us here work for the govt and wouldn't appreciate that comment. Di naman lahat corrupt, marami ring tunay at malinis na public servant.
I was about to suggest to Baldo to contact dopedeeva. She works directly under the Secretary of DSWD and can hook you up with the right people who can support this event.

ok po yung RSCC. i did my study for school there and it was a really good experience. i learned a lot spending time with the kids and house mothers there.
this is a very good cause.
i'd like to show my support too. pero yun, as higad mentioned, anong klaseng tugtugan po ang pwde. kasi baka masyado maingay eh. hehe.
i'll look around the house for some stuff that i can contribute for this.

i also remember them needing to repaint a huge octopus slide they had there while we were doing our study (last school year). regretably, we were not able to raise funds not get the time to do it. maybe in thie EB we could collect a certain kind and amount of paint to be used to the painting of that.
the basketball court had one ring that was practically wrecked already.
the playground, well, some parts were ok but some were really messed up.
also, i'd like to point out that much care should be used in dealing or talking witht he children. some of the kids here, though a very small amount have been sexually abused and beaten. and they really react differently especially to males.

hi guys, i want to participate in this... grabe i have this heart for childrens.. lalo na mga ampon.. grabe, iniisip ko lang minsan na ako nasa kalagayan nila napapa iyak ako... lalo na dati ng nakita ko mga babies sa bahay ampunan nung napabisita ako dahil dun ng tago yung mom ng baby ko nung buntis.. hehehe.. grabe.. kaawa... then dati nung ng fasting and praying kami sa laguna.. nilaro ako ng mga batang nasa bahay ampunan.. grabe, nakaka humble.. nakaka lungkot... so i guess.. this event will show them, that even they are left by there parents.. we can show them that somebody cares, and loves...
errrr.. i dunno how i can contribute.. lalo na financially.. pero i can help siguro sa tugtugan....

thanks for the warning..oo very SENSITIVE yung mga ganung cases na mga bata kaya konting ingat sa pag handle sa kanila.. I hope kahit sa kaunting magagawa natin e mabawasan man lang yung kalungkutan nila at yung Trauma na inabot nila...So guys let's do it.. i know kaya nating gawin ito, konting tulungan lang..saka matagal pa ito at sa january pa kaya we should have enough time para sa success nitong project na ito. 8-)

we'll most probably end up staying in their "multi purpose hall" since that's where all the "parties" are held. it's a small area, probably around as big as freedom bar? or a bit bigger. but if you're planning to have a stage there, liliit sya, then when you put all the kids there and all the people from philmusic, baka medyo maging masikip. hehe.
but you guys should check it out first. by the way, do you guys need help with the letter or talking to a person in charge?

kung maliit yung place eh malamang gift giving na lang at pagpapakain na lang sa mga kids ang activity.. malamang acoustic set na lang like acoustic guitars at kahon o tambourine hehehe... pero ok lang kasi sa gabi ang jamming. place will be announced maybe in the last week of december or first week of january. :mrgreen:

third week of january ito..gawin nating 26 o 27 ..that's a friday and a saturday..sa tingin niyo ano mas magandang araw na hindi busy para sa staff doon sa bahay ampunan? JEPOY..paki tanong na din kung anong day ang convenient para sa kanila. ok? 8-)

fridays kasi may class sila. saturday yung medyon free day nila. and usually that's the day set para sa mga benefit stuff.

Change of Plans...
Theres not gonna be any programs anymore. All those who still wants to be part of it... Its gonna be on Tuesday January 30, 2007. Lets all meet at Boss Coffee at SM North Edsa at 1pm then we'll all go to RSCC. Bring all the stuffs you can give for the less unfortunate childrens. For those who just wants to give something and cannot join us during the gift giving. You can drop the old toys, clothes at PIMP Studios on Monday between 5 - 7pm ill be there to accept all the goods that your gonna give to the kids.

The help for the less fortunate kids at RSCC was a success kahit 4 lang kami na nag gift giving.
We gave coloring books, medicines, medical soaps and we fed the kids with Jolibee :)

Finally got hold of a computer.. been extremely busy with my appointments and family visits.. all in all it was an excellent vacation for me.. too short though.. sarap ng mga kuwentuhan at tone party - well sort of lalo na sa mga hosts like kitC, jepoy, starfugger, shinji of sound creation, bamf for his fabulous inventions and arie of guitar hospital- thanks for ressurecting my bass back to life!! more power to you guys..
