pacut ng shell mura lang... mahal ung hardware galing pa kasi US, hindi para dito ung hardware ko talaga, dito ko lang nalagay hindi kasi natuloy ung shell dati so instead na masayang ung hardware kinabit ko nalang sa tom converted to snare... baka hindi rin maging worth ung gagastusin mo, bili ka nlng ng snare talga hehehe

tama ka jan! kapag tinopak ako at hindi ko pa makumpleto hardwares na kailangan ko at namamahalan rin ako, ibebenta ko nalang ung nabili kong tube lugs unless makabili ako ng matinong shell. :|

tried bubinga before., IMO hit it moderately it sounds like acrylics (hard in a certain way) but when you really lay the stick into it! FAT SOUNDS! as in LOW.. accdg to TAMA, it is 53 percent harder than maple.. Bubinga gets lower when you hit it harder siguro so to speak.. :wink:

to my ears, malayo yung bubinga sa acrylic, even on moderate/light hits. Siguro depende sa heads and tuning pero kahit nung super tight na eh hindi pa rin kasing tunog ng acrylic sa tenga ko. Para pa ngang parehas ung sound character nya in different dynamic ranges. Pero relative naman un eh so baka sa tenga ko lang :-)

depende din siguro sa heads and tuning. Kung ma-atake pa yung maple on all tunings/heads para sayo, try walnut or mahogany :-)

sa site na to, may mga samples sila nung different shell materials on different sizes na available. Should hopefully give an idea of the characteristic sound of each.
