mostly high end cymbals from sabian, zildjian, meinl or paiste (and other brands) qualifies as "pinakamahal". Sabian's Paragon Line is just among one of them!

sunod Meinl MB20 series..... isa yan sa pinakamahal..... Ride pa lang tapos ka na... Tulad ng 21" ride ko na heavy MB20.... napakamahal sa market....

Agree... Signature Traditional ride, Or signature Dark energy series... Same with the Zildjian constantinople and Meinl MB20 series... Sabian Vault series Yan yung 4 na pinakamahal... bottom line is sila sila parin yung nauuna... Same old brands..... Dapat ang tanong dito alin cymbal model ang pinakamahal....

depends sa condition like keyhole, logos (though pag vintage hindi na ito masyado issue), kung may cracks, micro-cracks ba kung may mga deep scratches, etc... and if you lay the top or bottom hat on a flat surface, dapat flat pa rin siya. otherwise pag naka-angat yung isang side, medyo hindi na siya pantay.

all of those factors contribute sa value ng hats mo kung ibebenta mo siya now.

A "real" vintage K "Constantinople" in good condition could cost much much more than any of the cymbals Gep mentioned. At saka priceless yan kasi very rare. May nakakatawang nakasama akong thread noon sa drummerworld. May newbee na nagtatanong kung ano yung cymbal na binigay sa kanya ng family friend niya. Nung nakita ng lahat, tiyak na authentic K Constantinople. Sabi niya ibebenta niya kasi 1) gusto niyang bumili ng bagong snare, 2) mayroon na daw siyang ride: Sabian APX! WTF! Sabi ng lahat: huwag mo ibenta, mas mahalaga pa yan sa kaluluwa mo! Hindi siya nakinig, nag-flame siya sa aming lahat. Tapos, nung nabenta niya, inedit niya lahat ng post niya para lumabas na mabait siya. Ayan, yung bumili sa kanya, binenta ng doble ang presyo. [avocado] talaga.

jimy james: It depends on how much you value an autograph by Dave Weckl. I think though that the number of people wanting to pay lots of money for an Impulse crash is kinda small.

I have a 16" A pre-serial Thin Crash autographed by Steve Gadd. But the autograph is not the reason I think it's priceless. I doubt anyone would buy it for much. I hardly ever clean it, so it looks like crap. Its slightly bent, and got a small nick from having fallen off the riser. Its "just" an A, and there are probably lots of cymbals of the same type and from the same period around. But A's all sound different. When I bought it, I sampled half a dozen of them in the store. This one was very unique. It sounded like heaven on earth to me then, and it still does now. It has provenance too, most of my cymbals having been used in a number of hit recordings by friends. But I love it to bits. Its priceless to me, and I wouldn't dream of selling it.
