Fitbit CEO Says Apple Watch Gets Wearables 'Wrong'
« on: May 04, 2016, 09:47:41 AM »
Fitbit CEO James Park says his rival Apple took the wrong approach to tech wearables with its recently introduced smartwatch.

In the year since the Apple Watch became available, analysts have hailed the device as the most advanced wearable ever. But Park told The New York Times that its numerous features make it less user-friendly than the fitness trackers that are the hallmark of his brand.

"We look at it from a consumer point of view," Park said. Apple Watch "is a computing platform, but that's really the wrong way to approach this category from the very beginning."
