I've tried them and they're pretty good for the price. I love the sound and build quality considering that it's not that expensive. If i were you, I would get one. :-)

I compared fernando and D&D mas nagustuhan ko ang D&D. Much more comfortable with it.

Good reviews, better built than the Fernando.
I have stated that there are more bad sounding suhrs then there are good ones.

Pano yun may nakita din ako D&D sa lumanog? may tarpaulin pa nga ng endorsement ni barbie. kaya lang di ko na try, iba kasi hinahanap that time. accessory sa gitara.

D&Ds were actually my first choice for acoustic kasi I really liked the sound and how it felt in my hands but now I found something better to save up for, a takamine. if it's not for the takamine I would definitely save up for a D&D.  :-)

A nice, used but not abused MIJ acoustic. Full acoustic. Just get a pickup for it. If you're lucky enough, you might find a good one that already has a solid top.

the tricky thing about used MIJ acoustics is it may sound good but sometimes they have bulging tops, high action in the 12th fret and warped necks.  among these, only the action issue is immediately noticeable.

Naku, kahit naman yung ibang brand new units masama na rin cosmetics, baka nasubukan na ng marami. Pero syempre, you won't get a used one na hindi mo gusto yung condition. Patience.

Anyway, don't want to lead the topic off track. Haven't tried an Applause. Only saw a D&D, it didn't "look" too good. Parang ang taas ng action and the nut was not cut well. Haven't tried a Takamine Dseries as well.

Maxi, yes critical yung bulging na top. Kaya sabi ko rin, di ka naman kukuha ng gitara na hindi mo gusto yung condition, be it MIJ or kung saan man.  :-D
Dapat may dalang ruler o straight edge.

definitely this.  always when dealing with old MIJ acoustics.  :-D

minsan kasi baka masyado ma-overcome ng vintage vibe and warm sound ng old MIJs baka makalimutan na yung other important things.  :-)

I dont think meron sa MOA bro. Lazer is one of the major distributors of D&D. I got mine in Raon. Much cheaper than any Lazer Branches...

kung uneven/wrinkled/pronounced ang bulging top, may problema yun sa bracing for sure. pero kung even/slight buldge , its perfectly normal for a guitar that old. and according to luthiers in AGF, yung mga 70's japanese martin copy put top radius sa mga acoustic nila, Farseer told me even a pre-war martins halos lahat may bulging top. sabi rin ni George Lowden, a slight bulge behind the bridge is normal.

+1.  basta hindi lang warped ang neck, oks lang nga ang may slight bulge sa top.  :-)
