Anyone can join. Just bring your instrument. You can bring your own piece but it is not required since its a jamming session. We usually play standard jazz but not limited to it. I hope you can join us next tuesday. Last night was fun cause a ten year old drummer played and his two brothers on the guitars (bass and acoustic). Then their mom joined them and did a few songs. It was a family affair. :)

I wish we can start playing at 8pm. Sorry to say but I am only good for "happy hour" as I don't stay out late during weekdays.

Okay! I'm a lot more comfortable using fakebooks than just "open" jamming though. hehe! Is there a regular rhythm section naman? Tamang tama, standard jazz sounds great to me.  :-)

I think there will be a jamming session on Aug. 23, but let me correct you: the ones playing are not the pros but only amateur musicians like me.

I respect your view but I think you will be more interested to play the sax if you are able to watch a pro perform. By the way check the CCP Jazz Festival which will be held on Aug 23 up to Aug. 28, where you will see some of the best saxophonists play like Toots Tolentino and Michael Guevarra.

We don't have to wait for the in-house player. If there is/are jammers playing bass or guitar or even keyboard, we can start playing by 8pm.

Sorry guys but please, do not hi-jack the thread. This is off topic already. You can easily create another thread about CCP Jazz Fest if you want to discuss it more.

Thanks.

Okay lang na pumunta doon sa Skarlet's Kitchen ng yun lang? Parang tambay? Siguro, i'll purchase a drink or two para hindi naman nakakahiya. hehehe, See you there! Hopefully, di ako mahiya at ma approach ko naman kayo. Pag may lalake doong malaki at hindi nag sasalita or, naka tambay lang sa isang corner, wag kayong mahiya at lapitan niyo naman. baka ako yun. :))

Well, mukhang walang taga dito na nag punta doon. I did have some fun listening to Lourd Bryan. And nung kumanta si Skarlet, astig eh! Masaya! Sayang, walang saxophone noon. Sa thursday daw merong saxophone playing. Teka, kelan ba kayo usually nag pupunta doon? I was looking forward pa naman meeting you guys and see you playing saxophones.
