Local as in "made in the philippines?" or local as in japeyk? Presyong orig na yan 2,500 na PG58, nasa bibilhan mo na lang kung orig nga. Para makasiguro, sa audiophile ka na bumili meron sila pareho nyan. Pede mo pa testingin kung alin sa dalawa ang trip mo hehehe. Ako, binili ko pareho (Joke!) Nde, yun Q7 binili ko. Samson naman para maiba. Meron na ksi akong PG48 which is also quite ok (1500 lang).

Budgetwise ok ang samson q7. Ok din and jts-nx8. I use both in my rental.

Samson Q7, professional sound, and good quality. It has better gain before feedback than the PG 58, because it has a supercardioid polar pattern.

kung talagang pang-matagalan na gamit at good sound quality ang hinahanap mo ay sa shure sm58 ka na, at least kahit saan mo gamitin ay alam mong hindi ka ipapahiya. kahit mahal ay alam mo naman na hindi ka magsisisi sa bandang huli. kung kaya mo pa dagdagan ang budget mo ay shure na ang kunin mo.kesa mag-pg58 ka ay sm58 na kunin mo, konti na lang naman ida-dagdag mo eh. kung personal use mo naman ito ay huwag ka na manghinayang sa presyo dahil sulit talaga basta shure. pero kung papagamit mo lang naman sa ibang tao or para sa studio mo ay mag-samson ka na lang...

yeah the sm58 is undoubtedly the standard but it's not 'below 3k'.

I am a Shure fan, I have several SM 58's and Beta 87, but when talking about good vocal mic below 3K, I would recommend the Samson Q7, a supercardioid dynamic mic. Try it out. I used PG 58 and I'm using now Samson Q7's, and far off better sounding ang Q7. It's only below Php 1,700.

And if you look for more quality, papasok din naman siguro sa 3K category ang pre-owned na SM58. Pag may nakita kang SM58 on this price range('yung original ha, not imitation) na second hand, don't hesitate, kahit may edad na ang SM58, basta walang issues, it would last years pa.

SAMSON QMIC

Has a built in pop filter, a subtle boost at 2k and an extended frequency response to enhance the high end. It is what a hand-held dynamic mic wants to be. Sad it came out when Samson was still an unknown company.

im torn between sa SAMSON R21 [875] and SHURE PG48 [P780] yan ang price dito.
yung shure is old stock and to be cleared na kaya cheap...

help naman oh...

for back-up vocals i would say that the r21 and pg48 may be ok. but for the main vocals, get a samson q7 or shure pg58 or a sm58 (kahit isa lang).
