LOL...

Well, I did give up my POD HD500 after getting one of these. I use it both for electric and acoustic guitars. Yep... real acoustic guitars because, as much as I love the 12 string mode and alternate tunings, the acoustic model sounds still leave a LOT to be desired.

That generalization is debatable, at best.

What the GP-10 has going for it, however, is its uniqueness, sitting between the Boss GT and Roland GR series. Right now, there's nothing quite like it.

+1

And the quality and quantity of Boss Effects is better from its affordable portable multi effects competitors.

There is a switch under the toe of the pedal, it says so printed right on top of the unit when the light is on the switch is on, it can be assigned to many different parameters.
Controlling the Volume/Effect (Expression Pedal)
By strongly pressing the toe end of the pedal, you can turn the pedal
effect on and off (PEDAL SW indicator will light/go out).
Pedal effect is off:
• The pedal controls volume (default).
Pedal effect is on:
• The pedal controls the effect (e. g. : wah) that you select with the [PEDAL FX] knob.
* You are free to assign the pedals to other functions if you like.
& “Pedal and Switch Settings for Each Patch (Ctl: )” (p. 11), “System Settings for the Pedals and Switches
(SysCtl: )” (p. 13)
