Why Is Most Music So Bad Today?

Is this because there is little or no creativity involved, most songs are just recycled from other songs and the lyrics are all about the same boring bullshizzle. Most bands are also just used to write a few "good" songs and make as much money as possible on one big blowout, like all those crappy boy bands controlled by corporations, when's the last time you heard anything about them?

imagine ilan lang ang mga instruments ilan lang ang mga nota sa bawat instruments
tapos bilangin mo kung ilang tao gumagamit ng mga yan
tingin mo may nota pa bang hindi nagagamit?

Opinyon ko lang, meron pa namang lyrics at boses na gumagawa ng diperensya.

hmmm about tunes, iilan lang ang tono natin eh, from c,d,e,f,g,a,b tapos mga sharps / flats. mgailang notes yun? kung sa piano mo iba-base, yung 7 white keys tsaka 5 black keys, 12 notes in all, nagkakatalo lang sa octave. ngayon, dumadaan na naman yan sa variations like minors, sevenths, diminisheds, augmenteds, etc. compare niyo dami nun sa total number ng musicians sa buong mundo. meron at meron talagang magkakatalo.

same motiff.. pero patok pa din...
bakit kaya? anu ang hiwaga ni lito camo?
pati din ang cueshe? same things just diff. lyrics

pero i can say na mas madameng musicians and banda
na way better off na magaling sa kanya... hay...

Walang ibang sisisihin dito kung di ang bulok na systema!
hindi balanse ang scene! hindi equal opportunity para sa lahat ng kind of music!
ang problema sa systema, yung music na may "commercial appeal" lang ang nagdodominate, dictated lahat to ng cartel ng radio stations, music channels, magazines, concert organizers, artist management at madami pa...Kaya pag medyo maingay music ng isang band or walang commercial appeal, mahirap pumwesto sa eksena.. that's why most music of today is bad... kasi puro kabaduyan na lang ang lumalabas.. at yung ROCK kuno ngayon?

ROCK music is about Slamming, Headbanging, Being Loud & Wild, Unity, it's about Peace, Love & music "\m/ \m/" 

Rock music isn't about pacute.. papugee, being boyband, being baduy, being hated by the people.. it's not about being throwned with empty bottles by the rock fans

also, i find it hard to define "bad music". what is it that actually makes it people cringe when they listen to it? does it really matter if other people don't like it? i am one of those who write songs for myself and not for anyone else. if any of you listen to my stuff, you'll most probably flame it or just plain ignore it, but that doesn't bother me at all. i find it unusual that people try to "adapt" themselves to whatever it is that others enjoy. again, i write songs for me and for no one else.

i'm the same way.. it's about spiritual healing. songs you wrote like 10 years ago are like time capsules opened everytime you play/sing it, it opens up a dimension in your spirituality that brings you back to the state you were in when you wrote it and just.. i can't express it in words.

IMO: to sum it all up, music is what you make it. it's pure expression may it be for yourself or for everyone else. honesty is what takes a song to a spiritual level. if it's written just for show then it is what it is.

Yung kantang hindi madalas napapakinggan....

eh di ang mangyayari prang you just write songs considering marketability i.e. ung me potential sa telenobela

but then i still believe theres a lot of us here that stays true to our roots and play what we really wanted to play and not let something/someone tell or influence what we should do

I don't think there is anything wrong with why one makes music. what is wrong is when one is not truthful about why the music is made, or why it is the way it is.

if you really want to make music for telenovelas, then hats off to you, especially if that's what you really want, and you say so.

yung solo artists natin, umaangat. yung bands natin, umaangat din. siguro yung problema lang yung mga songs. kaunti nalang kasi ang mga "anthem" natin. musical integrity nga ang kailangan talaga..

one thing comes into my mind...music discrimination....ive heard and even seen people died because of discrimination....para bang "death metal band pinapakinggan ko mas majufet kami sa inyo mga punk pinapakinggan" then punk group violently reacted and cause a chaos...someone died....likely scene....
