EBtech HE-2 Questions
« on: November 26, 2013, 08:44:24 AM »
Hi,

Have you guys had experience with the EBtech HE-2 Hum Eliminator?

• Is it really effective?
• Will it not degrade your guitar tone or volume?
• Does it only work in a 2 Amp setup or can it also work with 1 Amp?

I'm planning to get one if it is really good in eliminating those annoying hums caused by ground loops.

Please share your experience both good and bad :)

Cheers

I have one. Even after playing with its positioning in the signal chain, I didn't find it particularly effective.

I know its not designed to silence single coil pickups, so based on your experience its not effective in removing ground loops?

I don't have a guitar with true single coils. So, it's either ineffective for my own setup or I never had problems with ground loops in the first place. Still, it might work for you.
