Good morning Telelovers,

Yesterday, I got done with re-stringing my tele (Peavey EXP) and went with "toploading" the strings (I just only discovered the little holes on the bridge yesterday too) as opposed to getting the strings through the body, as I'd always been doing.

Anyone else doing this? I felt like my strings felt "softer", I guess the term is "slinky"? (d'addario xl 0.10s) but I'd like to ask around some more because I may be wrong with my findings.

I've yet to wait for the strings to settle so I can play with it more.

i heard mas softer feel ang toploading.ganun squire ko dati.

I prefer strings through the body mas ok sa akin yung sustain saka i prefer tighter feel. im using 11s..thinking of using 12s standard tuning. pero baka masira yung orig tele sound.

any thoughts guys?

In no expert but it has to do with the break angle at the saddle as was explained to me by a fellow forumer. I think its a matter of tension/pressure distribution.

jesus .11s to .12s on standard tuning... i'm running .10s, even on top load i find the tension is considerable for me.

I think its the degree of curve/bent when the string gets through or passes the saddle.

Tanong lang. Yung 5 way strat switch ba (binebenta sa Epektos) ay pwede gamitin sa wiring na 'to?

Ito yung available, binebenta ng Epektos. Gusto ko lang makasigurado na pwede 'to.

not sure why it would be slinkier. yung tension needed to tune the strings to pitch, assuming di ka nagpalit ng string guage, should be the same.
