pinakamasarap na area for me is game development... not the flash games, but the game engine aspect. i was part of a team that developed auto-terrain generation and water dynamics. mahirap and mas mabiis na to use the available game engines out there pero knowing these things and applying ung natutunan ko sa physics nung college were monumental for me  ^-^

As a hobby masaya siya, pero kung papasukin mo nga lang siya as a profession, kelangan may passion ka talaga sa kanya, otherwise mabilis kang mabu-burn out. :-D

It's alright. I had a few bad professors too. :) Sometimes, our prof in PHP would pressure us with a project that you have to do over the weekend and pass it by Monday. But, that taught me how to work under pressure, to focus on things you have to do first before doing anything else.

As for C++, I have learned my basic programming procedures and techniques out of it. hehe :)

Sa U.S. one of the highest paid yan sa kanila yong ganyang trabaho.

Pero ngayon I dont think so to invest for that career. If we are the parent I'd rather check whats in needed job for abroad para pag graduate ng bata kahit papaano may mapapasukan sa ibang bansa.

Well thats the reality masakit pakinggan pero totoo, kaya halos araw araw daming umaalis papuntang abroad.

I'm planning to study again, programming naman, kailangan kasi talaga ng tatay ko ng makakatulong dahil bihira na daw talga ngayon ang graduate na nagiging programmer talaga, kadalasan nagiging technical support lang, so bilang seņior programmer apektado din sya kasi hindi nya mabitawan maliliit na trabaho dahil walang papalit sa kanya. Marami syang trabaho kaya kailangan na talaga nya ng makakatulong in the future.. Since sigurado naman na may magtuturo sakin, hindi ako nagaalangan sa career na'to.

well, ayun, hobby ko rin ang programming among other things. pero basically gusto ko lang talaga i-share yung ginawa ko (hehe). hindi kase ako happy sa mga video converters available sa net so gumawa ako ng sarili kong batch video processor.

here is the youtube demo (download link in description):
En Masse ~ batch processor for videos

ako lang yata ang gumawa ng video converter na walang textbox for height (kasi width lang ang kailangan mong i-specify, automatically scaled na, aspect ratio preserved whether square pixel or anamorphic ang input video). may built-in qf calculator, bitrate calculator, max duration on dvd5, etc etc.

enjoy!
