Not really... With the advancement in the technology of the Zildjian Manufacturing Process, they don't need to be aged before shipping. I have a couple of JG cymbals that came straight from the factory. And they sound sweet! The cymbals in the vault are in it just for storage.

Sayang nga... I was supposed to have dinner with them last week. Pero I couldn't weasel out of our recording schedule. Meron akong 17" Hybrid Crash. Pero di ko masyado nagagamit kasi di ko matripan yung tunog. It's too bright for me. Medyo nakukulangan ako sa body. I'm not sure about the 19" one though. Maybe Jun Bangbus can elaborate on that.

Pahiram ko sayo kung nagkasabay tayo sa gig...

yung ZBT crash pati A series thin crash ko, JE parehas. pero nabili ko sila nung 2006.
eh pano yung thin crash ko? nabili ko end ng november sa tom lee music yun. so ibig sabihin nun luma stocks nila? kasi yung mga naka display dun, yun yung kinuha namin. so yung mga naka display siguro yung mga medyo old stocks na nila.. ganun rin ba yung case dito sa pinas?

Chong, old and new stock doesn't matter as long as it's in good condition. La lang. I don't mind if my K Custom dark Crash was made 10 years ago as long as i get the good sound and it look awesome!!!

QUESTION:
Meron na ba sa inyong nakaencounter ng serial number na "JF"?
Yung pinaka bago ko kasing crash cymbal na Z Custom Medium
Crash ay isa lang yung letter. "F" lang ang nakalagay sa kanya.
Lahat ng cymbals ko except yung Z Custom ko ay puro JE.
So I'm guessing na 2006 ginawa yun at hindi na lang sinama yung letter J... Tama nga kaya? Ang alam ko kasi wala pang Z custom nung 1996 or kung meron man hindi ganito ang itsura. Tska sobrang kintab pa ng finish nya para maging 1996 to..

afaik serial numbers started in '96..so if your Zildjian has none more or less its earlier than '96

IE = 95 or 1995,,

almost 12 - 13 years na pala sya.. respetado ko na kasi and still gumaganda pa sound nya!!
