Siguro oil based yung pintura kaya nag su-suspend above water. Kung water based yung pintura more or less hahalo sa water.

oil paint ang ginamit dyan. yung water may nakahalong Borax. kung kulang ang Borax, hindi kakalat yung paint sa water

I saw this kind of technique — by master airbrush artist Craig Fraser — where he use some kind of cellophane while the pearl stuff was still wet and swirled it then finished it with urethane, very nice result …
