Post by: secretavenger234 on January 28, 2013, 07:08:42 PM
hey guys. I just want to ask what causes ground on the microphone? Last night we played in a gig and just had this awful experience with the ground in the microphone.. So i couldn't really sing that lively coz it's disturbing me everytime i put my mouth closer to it... Why does this happen?

'Cause most power circuits have non-existent ground. If you play guitar, you are causing a sort of ground loop between the guitar amp ground and the mic pre ground. Use a mic with a foam windscreen or have the techs attach one.
