<Help!> How do you get that nice pick scrape sound?

This may be a very basic question for you experts.  Diko tlga alam kung san ang mali ko.  I know I'm scraping it right (maybe).  Pero diko tlga mkuha ung pick-scrape sound (typical sa mga punk-rock songs).

Tulad dun sa kantang doobie doo ng kamikazee. (para maka relate lahat)

"Di naman kaylangan boses mo'y maganda, (pick-scrape sound) ........ "

Nasa effects ba un? sa settings?   

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Crank the gain of your distortion pedal, and idiin mo ung pick while scraping it. dapat hindi slight ung contact ng pick!

muffle the upper strings before the actual note, scrape those X notes.

Bili ka ng Alice pick sa Lazer and use it to pick scrape. Don't scrape too hard though, because your strings might get worn out easily

Heavy gauge picks are recommended right?

ang meaning nya yata dito is yung three string i scrape mo ng sabay sabay, pero pede ding isa isa lang hehe.

gnagawa ko mejo naka slant yung pick ko ok naman ung tunog.

i scrape mo sa 6th,5th&4th string....
