my wife got us tickets...and while i'm not really a big fan, i'll use this as an opportunity to tell this to my wife: "tignan mo yung gitarista nila oh, daming pedals and effects. ganda no? kailangan ko rin ata bumili ng ganun...blah blah blah"

Di nga napuno! Upper ang nabili ko pero pinababa ako sa lower box haha sa harap mismo ng stage unang level after vip, sulit haha!

(Kaso yung crowd parang patay, di gaya nung sa araneta last time. Yung iba di pa alam yung ibang kanta.

^Astig rin yung guest violinist!

Di ako masyadong fan pero sadyang di ko mafeel masyado yung tugtugan sa place namin (pinakataas), di maganda tunog samin, masyadong "boomy" ba tawag dun di ko madescribe, di mo distinguish yung bass lines at gitara pag nagsabay sabay na lahat ng instruments (mga low to lower mid frequencies siguro di masyadong malinaw. Sa acoustics na siguro ng MOA arena.. Sayang nga, gf ko fan na fan sumasabay kumanta sa buong set pero sabi rin niya di rin maganda tunog samin talaga.

Next time lower box na or VIP dapat. Alam ko na kung bakit mura ang gen ad. haha

came from an almost 200km drive (nagasikaso ng mga errands sa bahay) before going to the concert. I actually fell asleep on some parts. im not a big fan to begin with pero I do like "the hits" and some songs from "fungus among us".

sa cheapest seats kami and the sound wasn't good. I think the venue speakers were aimed at the more expensive seats kaya ganun.

and as someone who was expecting the more faster-louder-technically complicated songs for what my wife paid for (and we had the cheapest tickets...kuripot kami) medyo disappointed ako. but the band was great: Brandon sings well. mike's guitar playing is relaxed. couldn't hear the drummer well...the bassist too. the DJ...was jumping a lot.

well I still hope they come back. di ko na-namnam ung "dig" eh. its me and my wife's unofficial theme song eh

Hay salamat naman tama pala talaga pakarinig ko at hindi sira ang tenga ko. Hindi lang talaga maganda yung tunog sa taas. Nakasimangot nga ko the whole time kasi nagcoconcentrate ako para marinig ng malinaw pero wala pa rin. pag sumigaw ang katabi ko di ko na sila rinig. Mas okay pa tunong nung violinist (well kasi 3-piece band lang siguro). Seriously hindi ko nadistinguish yung bass the whole night.

Sabi ko nga sa gf ko (na fan talaga), next time na lang tayo bawi kahit sa ibang bansa dito sa Asia (pag may pera) puntahan na lang natin. haha. Muntik pa kami mag-away sa Megalomaniac (which is a fairly loud song) kasi sumisigaw siya sabi ko "Mas malakas pa boses mo di ko marinig".. haha

Anyway, great live band, and Brandon's singing, walang sabit..

Well ako "fan" talaga haha, habol lang ako 3rd song na inabot ko, kaya sa lower box na ako pinaupo, ayos na ayos ang sound dun, di pala rinig sa taas lalo si kilmore, kilmore's synth and beats were sick, sayang.

And yep ng tinugtog na yung "dig" one of my favorites too, napatayo ako haha, kulang lang ng song from science. Pero every song was well performed.

I've watched NIN, STP, Pumpkins at araneta. even if I was at the cheapest seat noong NIN, malakas pa rin. pero I got the next to the cheapest noong STP at pumpkins para mas-solb.

off topic: noong pumpkins, mahina drums...and sinasapaw ni corgan ung mix pag nag-sosolo sya. pinaka maayos na sound is yung sa STP ;p

Tama mas maganda parin sa araneta, siguro kasi mas maliit kaya mas controlled ang sound. Last incubus gig araneta eh. Na miss ko yung stp at pumpkins nun sayang, sana foo fighters din haha

actually medyo na-GAS ako sa fender type na gitara dahil sa incubus concert na yan. buti na lang walang pambili. and I still cant justify selling my 1982 Gibson v.

^Pinalampas ko yung 2011 Incubus dati sa araneta, nagrereview ako noon! tsk. Hindi pa ako nakapanood sa Araneta. Noong 7107 maganda rin ang tunog kahit open, malakas and full.

Anyway, napapatayo kami sa ilang songs noong friday kaso matatakpan namin yung isang level pa ng seats sa likod (na ayaw tumayo) tsk sinisigawan pa ako na umupo daw ako haha.

Bumili ako nung 120 petot cardboard binoculars, para kahit papano makasilip ng gear,ganda nung tele ni Mike.. Thinline ba yun (ignorante ako sa tele)? Pinakanagustuhan ko nung gabing yun ay Absolution Calling ba yun, so far yun ang gusto ko sa mga new songs nila, and first time ko lang narinig doon. :p

Sana tugtugin next time ang Antigravity, 11AM, tsaka Aq***s Transmission (hirap magspelling) haha.

he was using a thinline tele and a typical std tele. ayokong ikumpara sarili ko kay mang mike eizinger (mahina din ako sa spelling) pero after playing humbuckered and Gibson scaled guitars for a long long time...medyo naalala ko yung tunog ko dati when I was using strats nung napanood ko yung concert. im so gassing for a fiesta red strat right now

I also noticed that he was really into tweaking his pedals in between and during songs.

I really can't say that "it was nice to see" him doing that because I think he can afford a midi or rack setup...pero I think it was cool that he's still doing that at his current status as a professional touring musician

incubus fan naman ako pero not so much, di ko na kasi sila nafollow, ngayon na lang uli. Napanood ko yung pag setup ng pedalboard ni Mike, parang one-piece na tabla haha anlaki. Oo nga in-between songs lagi siyang naiiwan, and he's always "shoe-gazing".

Gusto ko na rin ng fender/single coil, bakit ba naka-3 gitara na ako puro humbucker tapos ang gagawin eh mag-tweak ng malastrat na tunog haha.. eh karamihan ng pinapakinggan ko fender users kahit local bands man.. ano ba yan, influence ni slash to noon eh. haha
