Check your pin under Options > Status and you will be able to see all the necessary information there.

If you want to use the services of blackberry try looking for the bb from globe.. if your using prepaid just send BB ON 50 for unli internet access for whole day, 220 for 5 days and 1200 (ata for a month) send to 8888.. you can download the application YM so online ka where ever you go and register your email to www.globe.blackberry.com.ph para naman you can use your email anywhere. Me and my wife BB 9700 smooth!!!

Try mo muna bro txt kung globe prepaid gamit mo. BB ON 50 to 8888 unlimited for 1 day para kung di gumana 50 lang.. tapos kpag nakatanggap ka ng confirmation try mo mag browse ng internet, kung gagana ibigsabihin pwede kahit hindi galing sa globe mismo ung blackerry mo basta openline..

Turned on the BB services for Globe and was able to get everything. But after it expired, i didn't subscribed again. Mahal eh! I have wifi naman at work and at home so maybe i'll just use it if i got out of town. Thank you!

Ok if ever na kakailanganin mo edi 50 a day nalang.. Kung may mga emergency kang mga kausap abroad at may mga kailangan kang tignan sa Net mag subscribe la nalang ulit basta need mo atleast nasubukan mo at ok naman ang performance.. Ako kasi postpaid and at the top of my bill i add 700 pesos.. per kbps charging ang pinili ko since YM and email lang naman ang importante sakin para sa mga kausap ko sa labas ng bansa. Matipid pa din kesa SMS sa other country..

try nyo mga sir ang IM+lite multi messenger for Blackberry pede nyo gamitin sabay sabay ang mga IM accounts nyo. Ex. YM, Gtalk, facebook, MSN, Skype, even Tweeter account, kung may pambili namn kayo nung app. mas maganda kasi may VOIP call sya.. lite version ok nadin pangchat lang naman.. the best thing with this app. no need to subscribe for BIS and BES. mobile net lang ang susubscribe nyo ok na .real time pa ang sending ang receiving ng mesgs. eto link for download m.shapeservices.com sa BB browser nyo buksan make sure na ung browser identification nyo sa options ay BB ha pede ksing IE and Firefox ang browser identification. then choose your flatform or BB model. then nandoon na lists of apps for your BB suggest ko lang maglite version nadin kyo may kamahalan ung full version nung app. eh Voip lang naman ang wala. and pede nga din pala mgsend ng photo and voice msg to. na di mbabawasn ang lod nyo.. :-D sana makatulong to sa mga BB users na gustong makatipid..

the only con im seeing on Nokia ay yung pagiging "stingy" nila sa features. tapos may ilalabas silang upgraded version ng isang unit at jusko, exorbitantly priced ang hayop!
with BBs, wala naman akong nakikita. kasi isang bagsakan sila kung maglabas eh.

2. how easy is it to transfer ALL my contacts from Nokia to BB? - this is my biggest problem. I have 3000 contact. *facepalm

im not sure about if its loaded with version 6 already or if you have to update it. i think it depends on the date of production.

curve 8520. got it from globe for free (after being a subscriber for 7 years). came with a free 2gb micro sd card. yung price ko, okay naman (tatanggi ba ako sa libre :lol:)
sa ebuystore ba yan? if it is, okay naman sila pero it doesnt hurt to find other sources.

anyway, finally made the essential apps work without using the data plan from globe. haha screw that data plan. daming sablay sa sistema ng globe, magbabayad pa ba ako ng extra? :x

mura nga ng bis sa sun. kaya sobrang inis ako nung lumabas yung offer sa sun for that. the reason why i did not get the bis from globe is because i wont be able to utilize it fully. i cannot say exactly how often and when i'll be outside with just my phone.

try BOLT browser sir mabilis din.. mabilis din mag download ng videos from m.vuclip.com sa browser na to.. di ko lang talaga trip yung looks at font style ng browser pero gingamit ko padin hehehe full desktop appearance .ito gamit ko pag nagbubukas ako ng PM pag nasa biyahe ako. Full site ng PM ang mgagamit mo sir hindi yung mobile site..

Di ko pa naman naexperience madisconnect sa wifi. Weird ah.
Everyday make sure to restart your BB a.k.a battery pull. Also do this while in the main screen.
Alt LGLG, menu, clear log then delete. It conserves memory a lot. Lalo na pag nagbabagal na sya.

hindi ko nga rin alam eh, akala ko nga sira ang wifi nito, but sa im+ lite, i tried, 1 hour na, hindi pa na ddc.
what i meant sa DC is hindi na nagloload ang for example google.com.. sa umpisa ok then soon hindi na makapagsurf, i need to reconnect, or do a hard reset. oh well, hope it will be fixed pag may os6 na.
my os is 5.0.0.846.

once na activate mo na BIS mo makikita mo sa BBM yung barcode mo. :-D pede ka ma add sa pamamgitan ng barcode.. iiscan lang ng gustong magadd sayo yung barcode using the BB's camera and viola.. your contact information is already transfered to the other BB and added as well to his/her BBM contact list and contact lists of your BB.. :-D

i was effing afraid at one moment because i got an error and my BB is bricked for like 30 mins but then im resourceful thanks to the internet..

pero bro swabe.. konting price diff lang naman ng 9300 sa 8520 in current prices, like 4-4.5k lang..

yung friend ko nakabili sa dubai 1300 dirhams pero may 2gb micro sd na at 10 megapixels na digicam.. ang mahal talaga sa pinas tsktsk

GMT+3 bro.. tax sa pinas ang nagpapamahal eh nung time na bilnili ko tong sa akin last year 1199.00 SAR or more or less 13.5k php with 2gb micro sd na. ngyon 850.00 sar nalang wala ng 10k php!! tpos yung curve 3g 1200 SAR nlang.. :-(

Its the Curve 8900. I upgraded to OS5 from 4 and I was able to use themes that were made for Bold 9700. Natuwa nga ako ng bongga! Haha! Kase dati I thought pwede sakin yun since parehas naman kami ng resolution and all pero hindi nagaappear sa theme options.

ang ganda ng theme mam!! i still dont know how to change themes eh, tamo naman ang wallpaper ko, default haha..
wala pa po akong nakikitang leak os6 for the 8900, but almost same specs lang naman tayo ng phones eh, so i think (and it should) magkakaron ito ng os6..

yes, os6 is cool may effects na parang AERO style ng windows.. (minimize,maximize window visual effects)
well, the phone is just 4 days old, so, i still have no good apps yet, haha!!
but i use:

Mic, try using Capture Me instead. Yan una kong ginamit pero naaliw ako sa screen muncher kase pag magpiprint screen ka parang kinakain nya yung screen I mean literally may bibig na lalabas at may sound effects na parang nagbite sya. Hehe!

Para san yung isilo? Tried using bolt pero di ko type. Keri lang ang browser ng BB since I just use it for reading mail pag hindi ako nakasubscribe sa BIS. Mahal eh. Like what I said before, may wifi naman sa work at sa bahay kaya di rin nagagamit. And Foursquare only works with BIS pala hindi sya pwede over WiFi.
I used BBSAK before upgrading my OS and okay naman. First time ko nga magload ng OS and I felt really nervous. Yung Ipod Touch kase wala akong guts i-jailbreak. Buti nalang gumana yung pagupdate ko ng OS sa BB.

its like a pdf reader like app, but it makes the space really small for mobile purposes, so hindi malakas kumain.. i downloaded a pdb file, and its like a whole library of books and publications there, and its just 175 mb..
ya bbsak is good good thing nalaman ko agad siya..
for the iphone/pod, i got nervous to the first time on my phone.. and when i realized its not that creepy, and its completely safe, i jbed it and unlocked it.. saved me 1-2k pesos fot doing it myself..

i want that app too! the one that lets you write docs.. is it free??
its bundled by default on blackberry. problem is, you can only edit on the bundled version. premium version lets you create new files. the premium version gives you access as well to pdf to go. of course this version was not meant to totally replace your desktop/laptop's word processor. its stripped down but can get me through. i just had to load a "template" with our company's letterhead so i wouldnt have to worry about formatting.
I want that pdf reader too!
gian, get the premium version of documents to go. it includes the pdf reader as well. not unless adobe makes one for blackberry (they made one for android and its free!)

but still depends on your usage..if you always have wifi on, or 3g, phonecalls, etc..

so i think its fair enough..
and i think i have solved the problem with my WIFI. its my router. apparently maarte ata ang BB's sa wifi so what i did was to set my router sa G mode only (dati kasi naka mixed) and yung Tx rate ay ginawa kong 18mbps (dati kasi naka auto. anyway 1 or 2mbps lang naman ata tong internet ko, pero nabasa ko sa ibat ibang forums eto ang ginawa nila, so sumunod lang ako,)
so there.. ill give feedbacks sa SUN BIS pag activated na.. :lol:

and one thing, i never tried connecting sa wifi ng SM malls. or i never knew it. one time tinamad ako mag work so i took a "scheduled" sick leave.. and told my officemates to just buzz me whenever there are problems there. they never knew i was at sm manila while we were chatting. they thought i was at home, "sick"..

Ganun din ako dati sir nung bago pa phone ko..Dko lam pero gumana after few weeks..Nagamit ko xa sa Tokyo2 (market2), and Krispy Kreme (megamall).. Try nyu kaya dun sir baka gumana da inyo... :)

Question: How can I determine how much kb is used for cetain operations for apps (eg facebook, push email, bbm)? Im asking because I intend to get the bis on a monthly basis but my current plan contract does not permit me from downgrading and getting the unlimited bis add-on to even out the downgrade. I dont want to get the unlimited add-on along with my current plan because that will cost too much.

Twitter for BB, UberSocial (another twitter client) you can use it via wifi, configure mo lang settings. But unfortunately, email, FB for BB, FourSquare and other apps, via BIS lang talaga.
That's why I'm switching to HTC. Hehe! Will sell my BB 8900.

using the browser (setting it at desktop mode) to view videos is a pain in the ass for me. i use two youtube apps for viewing youtube clips and so far no issues on my part (got them from appworld). try uninstalling, reinstall then battery pull. those apps were also designed to run on wifi afaik.

Punta ka sa Browser Configuration tapos i-set mo yung browser mo to Hotspot Browser. Kapag naka BBMax ka naman, unli internet na yan eh, so di mo kelangan magworry about your load being consumed basta naka-subscribe ka.

Tanung ulit, san mahahanap yung browser settings? Badtrip, nababawasan nlang load ko bigla bigla without using the mobile internet. Kinakain siya even pag accidentally ko na pipindot yung browser. How do I solve this? I lost 60 php already in one day without doing anything. (aside from accidentally hitting the browser)

okay heres whats happening to you: when wifi is unstable, your phone switches to the mobile network connection. try switching to bolt browser, it can be set to wifi only.

thanks for the input bro! maganda sana 9810 kasi mas mabilis siya compared sa 9800 and it has the OS 7 pero much more expensive siya eh hindi na kaya ng budget. hehehe! I'm a big fan of blackberry kasi eh since I have one right now, the curve 8310 and my first option sana is the torch 9800 but when I heard about the freezing problems I started to doubt it but I hope when I buy one I won't have those problems. :)

that i didnt notice. haha but the truth is, an upgrade to a 9300 should be okay for me. besides, im planning of downgrading my plan if i renew. the lowered rates for data plans have given me too much to consume, to the point im paying for credit that i dont get to use at all.
also, that all touch screen curve looks good as well. tempting...

yeah, evaluate whether the 3k+ diff from 9300 to 9360 is worth it..
but if you'll ask me, the diff in RAM, processor, camera, looks, style, hardware and the OS is worth it..

without data plan, or even BB social, its just like a normal phone, unlike iphones and s3's (anod other androids), daming apps na pwede gamitin. that's why they created the BB10 os, to keep up with those giants.

Anyone here knows how to fix bb playbook camera? Suddenly when i open the camera app or any app that uses cam. It shows black and white lines only.. Tried swiping but nothing happened.. Pls help me..

i miss using a blackberry :-( if it werent for the battery, would still be using mine. and im quite happy they let some apps that run normally via data operate just by wifi.

yun 8520 ko ang bilis na maubos ng battery, less than 24 hours lang empty batt na. :-(
May alam pala kayong mura pero magandang nabibilan ng housing ng 8520? sira sira na yung rubber parts sa gilid ng akin.

Ano yung BER bro? May nakita ako dati sa GH nasa around 800 mejo alangan lang ako bumili di ako sure sa quality e.
Di ko pa din kaya bumili ng bago, walang funds. :lol:

speedy, very smooth ang OS. love the keyboard! the hub is really nice. sideloaded some android apps and it works well (instagram and google maps). sideloaded a PS1 emulator and boom! im playing monster rancher 2 and FF tactics. the phone itself is nice. to me it doesnt look or feel cheap. i got the white one. the screen itself looks nice. very sharp. oh well thats all for now.
oh BTW, LTE rocks.

im loving them! internet speeds were fast too. at HSPA+ im getting up to 4-5Mbps on my location. i havent had the LTE activated yet. i just called this morning so maybe tomorrow it will be activated.

its 26k on kimstore/dbgadgets i think, LTE version. for the price, you can also get the new xperia Z or a note 2.
However, i really like the Z10s new os. i got it from globe via their BB Plan 1799. Basically its unlisurf 999 (LTE) and 800 consumable with 3 freebies.

price is reasonable. I also like the Note 2 but it's too big for me that it's pretty hard to grip with one hand.

to me, its on par with the iphones, despite the smaller battery. first few days, it sucks. after a while, batt stays long..

guys, does anyone here experience wherein messages shows different time/date stamp on both sent/received messages? just the regular text messages. sometimes time/date stamp is correct, sometimes it's not.
please advise on what to do. :-(
