In my opinion, ang di lang ma-p-pirate ever eh yung high profile softwares. Yung pang Mainframes, supercomputers, etc...

wala ka rin naman paglalagyan eh  :-D

vista ultimate user here.

nice interface
very expensive on the hardware
OS is picky with the ahrdware too in terms of performance.
had to use an intel with onboard vid card
virtual performance reports on desktop is really cool like what MSI Cores had. but i noticed that RAM resources are over 60% but the 2.8 IC2 duo is only on 25% usage for bothr cores. (am i making sense?)

software and piracy - not a good idea for adobe. hard to use those key gens. gave up.

for games - no issues on generals 0 hour - final stand

3rd party media players are ok such as winamp, vlc, itunes, picasa2 etc.

as for optimized performance, try investin on TT chassis fans(or even the processor fan) the stock processor fans keep going up and down when multi tasking( or is this normal?)

di ko pa balak palitan yung aking xp sp2 kasi ay 512 lang memory ko required daw sa vista eh 1 gb baka bumagal. saka ok pa naman ang performance ng os  ko,  so far so good bakit kelangan palitan
