Ayuz!!!

i remember seeing Axl on TV recently, wherein he presented an award or something.
I thought Axl looked awkward in front of those people. Parang hindi na sanay sa harap ng tao..Then he shouted some BS crap, i didn't understand. I mean it was pretty predictable he'd do something like thaT.
Nawala na ung aura of coolness ni Axl IMO.
Parang bata na nagulat, "huh! dami tao!"

Buckethead is out, Bumblefoot (Ron Thal) is in.  But where the hell is the album going?  Is Axl experiencing his mythical perfectionist capriciousness again?

anyone got the album already? let us share our reactions on this one :-D

i wasnt surprised to hear lots of synthesizers and keyboards stuff on this one as i expected axl to be the brainchild of this long awaited album.i must say i wasnt as impressed as it was with the previous gnr albums. the lyrics are as authenic axl as ever..listen to catcher in the rye. and madagascar :-Dhe is just one of the most talented lyricists for me :-D but the music? for me, was poorly executed.

have you guys heard the album? i personally found it great considering the turmoil guns n roses went through in the past 10+ years. axl's voice is showing its age but still it sounds exceptionally well. the album shows axl's musical genius. some songs have a new style which i've never heard from any gnr song before. this album is great.

what do you guys think?

ayoko sanang sabihin 'to kasi numero uno akong disipolo ni Slash..

pero ANG LUPET nito! Top-notch ang production. Musicianship, unparalleled. Punong-puno ng talent ang  album na ito..Pero kung puso at attitude lang ang pag-uusapan, Appetite pa rin ako..

To say that this is a GN'R record would be missing the point exactly. For fans at least, Guns  music is Axl's vocals and Slash's guitars. You just cant have one or the other. Axl's solo album, mas pasok pa siguro.

But this is the Gn'r of today..love it or hate it, its upon us after 16 years. Take it or leave it. For me, I'll take this as another celebration of music. This is a good album. Ibang-iba sya sa Appettie, yes. Pero ang tanong e, gusto mo bang same menu na naman? Kung gusto ko ng Mr. Brownstone, I'll get my Appetite For Destruction LP at yun ang paiikutin ko sa turntable..

It's okay, but not worth the wait. There's nothing refreshing or special about it aside from the fact that it took 16 years to come out...

Cant imagine GNR without slash and all... pero hmm ang galing nito ah.. seems AXL is proving something

BRILLIANT.

But one way to sink into the album is getting past the Slash/Duff legacy of GNR.  You'll be disappointed if you have the same mindset.  For me, the new GNR is a kicka$$ album, but then, it takes one open mind to love it.

I personally love these songs:

CHINESE DEMOCRACY
BETTER
STREET OF DREAMS
IF THE WORLD

^ Hmmm... It sounds like you're saying "Lower your expectations, and you'll like this album." - tama ba?

Nope.  It's like saying Buckethead and Ron Thal are lame musicians.

What I'm saying is, THIS IS A DIFFERENT "GNR", but it is all good.

im a big GNR fan! have been constantly listening to their new album chinese democracy on myspace.. hear the album!

http://www.myspace.com/gunsnroses (http://www.myspace.com/gunsnroses)

i love all their past album.. every song to say the least..

lets just say that if you want to hear the old gnr type of sound.. YES, youll be disappointed.. but if you have the mindset that the album of course will not sound as before without slash, duff and izzy.. youll be amazed that axl was able to manage to create an excellent album without his ex-gunners.. overall, the album sounds promising.. at least to the new generation of rock-sound.. kudos to axl and the guys behind him... its worth the wait! :-)

best album of 2008.
it's not coming off my CD changer for quite a while.
kickass, hard-punching album.
axl is among the best songwriters in all of rocknroll. second only to sir paul mccartney in my book.
buckethead rips!
