Tingin ko yung relying on picks is not necessarily a bad thing. If you like how it sounds pag me pick ka edi na sayo na yun. IMO ok yung walang picks is blues.

with all due respect to the moderator who posed reality to all of us,

i mean, we all were NEWBIE's..
nobody learned how to drive a car the first time

since we were then newbie's, therefore, we will never learn how to "play" guitar the first time.

i would like to see that list as a measurement of how much as i have progressed rather than see it as alist of newbie mistakes.

i was a student of mr. aaron dignos
and he once taught me to make mistakes
he wouldn't be a guitar instructor if he hadn't made the same mistakes on that list.

So go on people,
keep making mistakes
cause, we will never know what our true potentials if we will never learn from our mistakes..

AMEN!!! :-o

Tama. We all had our first times. Newbies are bound to make mistakes.
On vacation...

well, i dont really do much plucking so di ko sya naiisip na "noob mistake", anyway i think thats more on preference, i know a guy who freakin' shreds with his finger nails!  :-o literal dumudugo daliri nya, ewan ko kung bakit pero ganun gusto nya.

i once saw this music teacher back in my yupangco days, SUPER HALIMAW sa plucking!! he is a clasiscal guitar player, grabe, ang galing! yung walang pick un pero halimaw talaga, nag sweep using a nylon classical guitar!

siguro noob mistake is to take other peoples preference and make it your own, getting advice is okay and helpful, yes, you use it as reference, mas masarap yung pinag hirapan mo ung technique, develop your own preference and tone through experience. :)

hehe i think what the relying on picks meant putting your trust in a Pick of Destiny that instantly makes you better.

i also disagree to keep making mistakes, respectfully ofcourse.

someone had made that 40 mistakes sometime in their life, we don't have to keep making the same mistakes to prove a point.

what i do agree is learning on our mistakes, and to not be let down in case we make one

It still feels like going to a toy store... I think there is some part of us that never grow old...  :)

Baka yung relying on picks na mistake ang ibig sabihin nun eh pag wala kang pick eh di ka na makatugtog ng maayos, kung baga hindi ka flexible. That's what I think...
