as much as possible, stay away from those Raon/Sta. Mesa electric guitars.. sooner or later you'll realize that you've just wasted your money.

Tol, you can check out ELECTROSUSHI.sulit.com.ph then click mo yung "CLASSIFIEDS o CLASSIFIED ADS" ata.

sx na tele sa jb. pasok yun sa budget at prefered music mo. nasubukan ko pareho yung fernando lp at sx tele at mas gusto ko tunog ng tele. pero ako lang yun. by the way, i have more expensive version of those two models so im not only getting my opinion from those two cheaper brands...  :-D

Thanks a lot sa mga nagcomment! You guys really helped in enlightening me to a decision.

About Fernando guitars, usually saan makakabili ng gitara nila. Most of my friends kasi wala naman talagang hilig sa ganitong music.

i wouldn't recommend you getting a secondhand electric guitar. SX or Fernando would be better. go to JB now :-D

i agree with the other replies..

either fernando, sx or greg benett.. [or ibanez  suprestrats]

fernando
- wood : 3.5/5
- hardware : 3/5
- craftsmanship : 3.5/5 (mejo limited ang finishes)

sx
- wood : 4/5
- hardware : 3/5
- craftsmanship: 3/5 (disappointed ako sa headstock... IMO.. walang kokontra)

greg bennett
- wood :4/5
- hardware : 4/5 (grover tuners agad.. + maganda din quality nung bridge etc..)
- craftsmanship : 4/5 (nice finishes + good looking headstock)

buying in the classifieds can be an option but you should research first about the guitar you wanted... mahirap kasi in your case, baka makabili ka ng maraming hidden issues...

i know if we get to the technicality of the word craftsmanship it does include 'design' but these are cheap guitars and cheap guitars go design is either hit or miss..but everyone is entitled to an opinion..

..but my opinion is..for a cheap guitar(maybe true in pinas sx and some fernando), im not sure its ok to nitpick it too much..especially design of a CHEAP guitar

@TS you should be looking for one that is playable and sounds decent for its price..

It was down a few days ago but it seems that the jbmusic store website is back online.

Hindi gaano kaimportante sa akin ang looks, I just want an electric guitar to practice with.

With all these recommendations, I guess I'm looking at Fernando/SX/GregBennett choices. How much ang LP/strat copies ng bawat brand?

Thanks a lot sa mga nagreply. I really appreciate it!

I'll try to go to one of their stores this week, or maybe contact them through e-mail, wala kasi kaming landline haha. Salamat sa lahat ng info. \m/

also @TS if you're planning to do the above,..the math and see how much you would be spending on upgrades, if it is close to a really good one. then its not worth it..especially if all the parts your looking for is not available locally..

Kumpleto may amp, tuner, strings, picks, softcase.
