It could never be the same. The biggest lesson I've learned about recording amps is how they differ so much in a "listenable volume" recording context versus live. 

When preamp-saturation designs came out, they thought that this was the answer to cranking amps, but they turned out to be different monsters... not the same as the old non-master volume beasts.

But it would be cool to make a vid nonetheless. :D
