YEHEY!! NEw baby ahh pic pics may teaser ka pa hehehe :-)!

Counted ba sa thread na to ang question na Sino dito na meron ng korean lenses like Rokinon, samyang,Vivitar???

the rokinon/samyang 85mm 1.4 is the bomb. beats nikon 85mm 1.4 afd in both sharpness and bokeh. i sold my samyang already because im going FX, then i found out a day after the sale that the samyang can do FX 😳

nagsearch ako ng info about d2 marami palang may ganitong problema.
Since bakasyon noon habang naghihintay ako ng reply sa binilhan ko kinalikot ko lang ng kinalikot yung body. Dun ko nalaman na kelangan naka on yung AF-assist illuminator para magfocus  :-o

@Cel1916

it depends what kind of lens ang hinahanap mo different brand have different feedbacks but in my own opinion i'd go for Rokinon = Samyang and Sigma :-) both manufacturer's i have a lens. so far i am happy with its performance

i'm a nikon shooter and i have a mix of tamron, sigma and nikon lenses in my collection. after getting proper photography lessons, i'm disposing most of my nikon dx, tamron and sigma lenses except for the nikkor fx lenses that i have. pansin ko na hindi nga sila kasing talas ng nikkor. now i'm building a proper collection of lenses. i'm acquiring the nikon holy trinity and king of bokehs. and because of this, i;m selling some of my guitars.
nuno : n4 2.0 n4esa, n4vintage, n4 silver sparkle, n5, n6, n7, n8esa
etc : yjm, axis, jp6, jpxi, jp12, jp13, lp 58 vos, lp 57 ri, lp standard, lp trad, am strat, am tele deluxe, jem7v, uv777, rg prestige, j custom, deluxe reverb, vai legacy, jcm900, axefx

As of the moment, the only 3rd party lens I have is the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 Ver. 1. Why? Because, I think it's better than Nikon's UWA lens. Other than that, it's all Nikon glass. I also sold, most of my guitar gear to get Nikkor lenses. But I'm not really planning on completing the trinity. Just the 24-70 f2.8. I already have the Nikkor AF 80-200mm f2.8D ED and it works for me since I only shoot events and weddings not fast action stuff. Right now, I want to have an all-prime set. Nikkor's 20/35/50/85mm lenses. But I doubt, I can complete them. Hehehe.

I have owned and tried those old Tokinas ( 28-80 f2.8, 12-24 f4, 50-135 f2.8 ) back when I still have my Nikon D300. Pretty decent IQ and sharpness especially with the 50-135 f2.8. Image is soft and chromatic aberration is noticeable with 28-80 f2.8

Pa OT:

Hi guys, I'm a newbie sa photography. Just 2 weeks ago, I bought my first DSLR. I bought an entry level DSLR which is a Nikon D3100. The kitlens does the job (landscape, seascape, cityscape, etc.) but I'm planning to shoot portrait with a nice creamy background bokeh. Someone is selling me a cheap Nikon 50mm 1.8d. The problem is that my cam will not autofocus on AF D lenses. So my resort would be is to manually focus it. Madali lang ba yung manual focusing nito to take sharp foreground and blurry background? or is it a PITA?

Anyway, the cheap price is 2000Php. Should I go for it?

Thanks.

Ang 50m 1.8 is a good lens to buy you cannot go wrong with it but since u are using a crop sensor save up and buy 35m 1.8 it git af compatibility with ur body plus its designed for crop sensors i'm not a portrait shooter so no idea in shooting manual focus for portraits so i can't help you with that but if you gonna ask me shooting manual lens in a landscapes i can say yes its not bad ahooting in manual as i myself uses manual lens for seascapes and milky ways shoots

Thank you toinkking. I'm worried lang kasi since they were designed for motorized body to focus and get sharp photos (fast) pero baka mahirap gawin ito in manual focus mode or maybe it will really take time for me to get adjust eh mababagot na yung model or subject ko. Outdoor portrait plano ko like beach, etc. since it's summer kasi. :D

How much would it cost for a 35mm 1.8? How would it differ with the 50mm?

Sorry, nakapa newbie ko pa lang talaga.

Sorry can't help you with the pricing just check mo sa mga local shops mo jan im in overseas kaya i have no idea in pricing but sanayan lang kase sa manual focusing tlgang dipende sa experience mo yun so it needs a lot of practising but some manual focus lens ay merong focusing chip para di ka mahirapan mag focus

Ganyan setup ko man! Okay lang, manual focus lang talaga gamit ko.. Pero siyempre hassle pag pang ordinaryong picturan lang pag walang AF, halimbawa birthdays or biglaang snapshots, pero kung talagang "artsy artsy shoot" ok siya..
