CYMBAL setup 4 JAZZ FUSION
« on: August 31, 2006, 09:37:43 PM »
Para sa mga Advance at Pro drummers. Opinion nman jan.
eto set up ko e..

17" Zildjian A Custom proj. crash- anong splash at china ang bagay dito?
16" Regular K med. thin dark crash-anong splash at china? Ride?

HHX 10" splash anong crash, china ang complement?
8" A Custom splash-pinaka gusto ko tunog nito, ano magandang  complement dito?
10" A Custom splash....medyo lata dating nito sa akin...ano complement?!?
6" at 12" regular K splash....anong mgandang pares dito?

Ano ba ang magandang All-around Ride cymbals?

Thanks in advance!

14" New beat hi-hats
14" or 18" Oriental trash cymbal(zildjian)   (depende sa style mo)
6" A custom splash
8" A custom splash
10" A custom splash
9" Oriental trash splash
20" K custom dark ride or A custom
18" A custom projection crash
17" A custom projection crash
20" K zildjian flat ride (ayus din to png jazz or reggae)

To get your playing more forceful, hit the drums harder.

If Zildjian cymbal line ang preference:

14" new beat hihat is for all types of music
16-18"K and K customs for that jazzy sounds at A Customs naman for brighter accents. Same thing with splashes.

Sa ride cguro eh personal preference. Ako I personally favor 20" K Custom dark ride.

Follow your ears man.

korek tong si meinl.  Medyo ganyan ang gamit ko, Avedis 18" thin and 17" K dark thin and K custom dark ride.  I think its going to be  great for jazz and fusion.

if you look at all the fusion drummers we admire...they're not using the same set up.

Steve loves to use large dark cymbals, whereas others maraming splash, meron dark, meron bright...may stacks, may china.

some prefer more cymbals for more coloring and options...others are minimalistic and plays the cymbals on different areas...

the way I see it...its all in the drummer.

YES!!! HHX would be great for anything!!

** you just have to take into account how "heavy handed" you are when you play.

For Sabians... Use HHX!
