hi sir kit c

need help again... i just bought avid home recording (m-audio fast track with pro tools se)

question po...

1. i'm connecting my m-audio fast track (yung sa back panel rca out to my amplifier rca in)...isa lang po ang tumutunog... its either left or right speaker.. ayaw tumunog ng sabay.. ano po kaya problem nun..? kapag sa earphone ako nag-connect (front panel ng fast track) ok naman.

2. ano po ba ang best reference monitor speaker yung tama lang sa budget? ok po ba mag-monitor sa headphone lang like m-audio studiophile q40 headphone...? or the best pa din ang reference monitor?

3. meron po kaming bardl condenser microphone... mas ok po ba yung Behringer C1 condenser mic..

Again, Thanks in advance. :-)

Try a different rca cable.

For the budget, M-audio bx5a.

3. meron po kaming bardl condenser microphone... mas ok po ba yung Behringer C1 condenser mic..

Let your ears decide on this.

Sinubukan kong mag record ng acoustic Guitar gamit ang dynamic mic. Pero mahina yung narerecord, ok naman yung tone.

Ano po ang ikakabit Between the Mic and PC para lumakas?

Mic > ??? > PC

Hi guys,

I scanned through this topic and it's quite interesting... May I suggest a few things here which I think in my humble opinion has been overlooked.

First What is the purpose of the studio or recording set-up or whatever you call that? Is it only for voice dubbing? Or is it for live recording of a few musicians? The point is, the purpose of your set-up will determine the next things to be discussed

After deciding on your purpose, you may now reconsider your budget... Is this forum for a professional recording studio? Or is it only for a home studio? Or a bedroom studio? You need to be very specific in creating workshops for this since each design of a studio matters. The room acoustic is a very broad, hard and yet I think the most important thing to consider when you've decided what to set-up.

Before buying your hard wares and other gadgets, you need to have discussions on room acoustics depending on what type of set-up you have in mind!

Second What is the scope of your workshop? What musicians are to benefit from it? Mic Techniques really differ from case to case for example, are you planning on recording a choir? Or a band? Or a string chamber?

So many things to really discuss before you get to the topic of MIXING, EFFECTS, COMPRESSOR and others... Right now I can think a whole lot of other stuffs to discuss in details and it would fill an entire book.

I agree with discussing what is sound first, all of us must learn how to understand the nature of sound waves and the issues you need to learn involving sound waves from phasing issues to others alike.

I hope this helps.

Ang pagkakaalam ko sir is pinapadaan niya yung high frequencies and nififilter niya yung low frequencies. Lagi kong ginagamit yung high pass filter when I'm recording vocals. SM58 kasi gamit kong mic. Masyadong nagkacut sa mix yung vocals kung mataba yung tunog.

ito yun sa madaling salita ( or mahabang usapan )

HIGH PASS - hindi naka-block ang high frequencies
LOW PASS - hindi naka-block ang low frequencies

HIGH CUT / LOW CUT - just the reverse the PASS.

yung BYPASS, iba yun hehe... tsaka wala ring BYCUT!

pero sir, anong pinagkaiba ng high pass filter sa loob ng mic, tsaka doon sa high pass filter ng DAW?

sir KitC and others,question lang.

tanong ko lang kung pano ba talaga gawin in Reaper 4 ung left and right guitars, kase ginawa ko na lahat ng nabasa ko pero ganun pa din.

kase kahit naka hard left or right na ung guitar may tunog pa din sa kabila na mahina, gusto ko kase sana yung parang nagsasagutan ung gitara.

help anyone please? ung step by step from scratch sana, from inserting a track kase madame na talaga ko ginawa wala pa din epekto.

sobrang thanks.

Turn off in your audio control panel (or mixer), any setting that emulates headphones or some other environmental effect. Go for default settings, no reverb and no EQ of any kind.

Are you recording to a mono track as the others have mentioned? Are there any ambient/delay fx in the inserts? And what about your routing? It may be going to a stereo aux track?

Last thing, what about your physical routing? Is this straight to headphones or does it pass through a mixer? And what soundcard/interface are you using? (i hope it's not a 'blaster or some other)
