okay so finally solved my network problem...i could only connect to the local network when i disable zone alarm.

i need your recommendations for firewalls, which is local network friendly also. zone alarm has been a pain in the ass lately. i enabled it to allow me access to our local network yet im still denied access.

Former ZoneAlarm user here. I switched to Comodo Pro (free) because of the same problems. Some ZA updates have proven to be problematic for me.

Under Firewall options tapos sa "Zones" Tab check mo ko yung ipaddress range ng local network mo - kung anu yung brodcast ip ng LAN mo (usually 192.168.0.0 if gateway mo ay 192.168.0.1) naka set under sa zone column as Trusted.  Kung walang laman yun i add mo lang manually yung brodcast ip + subnet mask tapos i-set mo sya as trusted.  After nun pwede mo na maaccess yung folders ng pc na merong firewall.

Nawawala ba ako?

I've never had problems with Comodo in a network. Try using an IP range if you are having problems with an individual IP, especially if the pc's in your network use DHCP.
