guys, who's your trustworthy luthier for your Ibanez?  :? or you setup your own guitar too?

I also setup my own guitar but this time I might send it to luthier, I have fret buzz at 11th fret, 3rd and 4th string after lowering the string. Tried the neck slightly convexed and concaved, and even straight but no luck. I think it needs little fret leveling on that fret.

yung quality work at reasonable price ha

Oiled the mahogany wings. Some parts of the wood has shrunk over the past 10 years giving the neck an uneven feel. I lightly sanded the neck. Feels smooth and like new now. :-)

epektos.com (Cabanatuan City based, for shipping), or try mo din kay MonCSeb (FB, likod ng Jollibee Guadalupe)

Balik loob  :-D I do own a couple of Japan made Prestige RGs and an Universe Ibanez but I stayed away from the brand for a couple of years ever since I owned an LP Standard. I thought since my LP acquisition, RGs sound inferior compared to Gibson and Fenders.

Two weeks ago, I was able to try a J-Custom which was for sale by a friend. Immediately, I bought this guitar (far right) off him and fell in love with it.

I just acquired an EBMM JP13 a week before I got this guitar and thought that the Petrucci model was the Ibanez RG killer. I was so wrong. Hindi pa nga tapos yung "honeymoon phase" ko sa JP13, I had it immediately stowed away.

I always give my newly acquired guitar a proper setup.  Immediately I noticed that the neck is heavy. Heavier than any RG Prestige necks, Fender necks and Warmoth necks I owned. The JP13 neck is really sweet, miles ahead of any RG Prestige/Jem/JS necks I tried and owned but the J-Custom neck is way more robust than the JP. After the clean up and assembly, I had to say it is my favorite guitar at the moment. This guitar even has the pickup that I hated the most (the Tone Zone) and yet the combination of the wood and pickup just suits my taste.

Because of this new revelation, I purchased another J-Custom yesterday and should arrive my doorstep next week. My fifth guitar purchase for this year (Gibson Custom LP 57 RI, EBMM Axis, EBMM JP13, RG8420 and this RG8570z).

Great share, randymarsh. Glad to see an unbiased post. Too see it up with your JP13 and LP, it makes me think that a J. Custom is worth having. Before, I think of J. Customs as "too pretty to be played" and considered it as a collectors' item and not a player's guitar. Not the case anymore, I believe. If I could afford a J. Custom, I'd go for it - considering that it has my preferences such as an arched top body.

Nice photos too!

hi guys. how are the iron label guitars compared to the standard ibbys? plano ko sana bumili ng 7-string and I narrowed it down sa dalawang guitars na available dito, RGIT27FE and RG7421. pero kung hindi dahil sa price difference i would go for the rgit. 45990 ung rgit tapos 19499 lng yata ung rg7421. wala rin kasi akong experience sa 7 string. this would be my first 7 string  :)

Noticeable difference between the craftsmanship and Iron Labels come with EMG pickups. Standard ibbys' stock pickups suck big time.

Hello mga sir!

Since ibanez user thread to. Ask ko lang kung may mga naka experience na gumamit ng any Ibanez RG or other models with Edge Zero II.

Kamusta yung bridge nung unang gamit niyo?

So matagal tagal pa naman siguro ako bago magpalit since beginner lang ako.

Anyway, thanks!

You'd always have issues with tuning when it come to floating bridges(because PHYSICS says so), the point of the ZPS system is to reduce the variance of counter point tension between the strings and springs & to provide efficient and sturdier mechanism to return to the Zero point by utilizing a ball bearing instead of the traditional knife edge. This system has greater tuning stability compared to the ZPS 1 and gives better sustain but compared to an OFR design its a little dull due to the reduced sustain block. Playability wise it is great, especially if you're not so comfortable doing crazy trem stunts 'cause you can always lock it in place,I just find the added tension a little restrictive at times during heaving. Setup is easier compared to the EDGE III.

It's way better than Edge III, playing wise, quality wise, and setup wise.
If you're aware to even out the spring tension and string tension, then setup is a breeze.
Trem response is much better also, plus I can do flutter with Edge Zero II that Edge III cannot.  :)

Of course, will post some pics once meron na. hehe!
