110volts M-audio Studio Pro4 Nasaksak sa 220V. need help

Hi, nasaksak kasi ang M-Audio Studio Pro4 ko na monitors sa 220volts. Pwede pa kaya maayos yun? fuse lang kaya yun? or Completely un-fixable?
Sa electrician kaya na gawin? any recommendations.

Most likely yung power adapter lang yung nasira.

Nangyari na sa kin yan with two different soundcards and a mixer, parating kong nakakalimutan i-check kung 110 pala.

In all cases, ok pa yung unit. The stock adapter, I would assume, should have a fuse of its own so malamang yun yung nasunog.

I'd suggest you look for an adapter which gives you the same output (and kung meron, na 220V input para safe), tapos test mo kung ok pa yung unit

In any case, hindi naman unfixable yan e

Did you buy these from JB or a local distributor? Consider warranty repair muna. You will void your warranty if you open anything up. Now if these were bought from abroad, you will have to DIY the repairs. Usually only a fuse is involved, but in some cases, you can damage a capacitor or resistor/s; worse, a (thermal) fused transformer.

I would suggest that wether in warranty or out of warranty, you send it to JB music. Even if purchased abroad. They have qualified people to repair the units, can even do an RA if necessary. Only difference is that if its OOW or purchased abroad, there is a minimal charge.

Ced, kung may AC-DC or AC-AC adapter siya (aka wall-wart), probably yung adapter mo lang ang toast.

Kung sakali, pasadya ka na lang ng adapter na puwede for 220V.  Ano ba specs ng adapter?  Ano ang kanyang current draw rating (in mA)?

thanks for the reply's. Nabili ko ito sa m-audio mga 2006 pa so wala na siyang warranty. I opened up the monitor's and found na dalawang fuse meron siya isa busted yung 1 ok pa. 2 amphere's yung voltage niya. So i bought some fuse sa Ace Hardware. Hopefully by tonight when i get home gumana na siya. Sana Gumana.

OT: sir dodjie lapit na kami mag record ng new material diyan sa skunk. 6 new songs for the album baka mga mid october. Practice nalang kulang tnx

1. yung fuse
2. yung amplifier (TDA2030A)
 pwede ring gawing 220v na yung input niyan. mura lang naman yung piyesa na yun ang mahirap lang jan ay yung pagpalit kasi nakadikit ng parang alkitran yung PCB ng mga m-audio speakers sa mismong heat sink at back panel ng speaker.

i have 3 pairs of DX4s madalas mangyari dati yan kaya I converted their power inputs to 220v. never had that problem again.

i suggest that you refrain from testing it kung yung fuse lang ang papalitan mo kasi mapuputol lang din uli yung mga un.

I think the automatic charge at JB for bringing in a unit is P500. Then allow them 1-3 weeks for diagnosis. At least yun yung sinabi when I brought in my soundcard.

like i've posted before, you need to replace the TDA2030A part, it wont work unless you do so. saglit lang gawin yun. 20 minutes at most.
