I'm getting old. I actually feel more comfortable on the 9.5" radius, Fender modern C neck on my Tele than the 16" radius shred stick on my Ibanez. :-o Someone actually told me once that the Ibanez didn't really suit my playing style, which is more jazz/fusion oriented. Playing that style feels a lot better on the Tele than on the Ibanez.

edit: So totoo nga, different guitars do make you play differently. (pahabol para di OT masyado dahil wala akong nabanggit na Strat dito hehe)

some prefer 9.5 or flatter, over the 7.25. best talaga to try and see what you're comfortable with. the flatter the radius the easier it is to play...generally speaking lang. kaya marami sa bowtik, 9.5 or flatter ang request nila. pero pag tru to spec na old fender, talagang 7.25.

craving for a 9.5 radius badly.
currently using a 7.25 radius at pag nanggigigil ka na, talagang macho-choke out mo yun notes e, lalo na on the higher register sa neck.

though it has this certain "tone" pag almost macho-choke out mo na yun note. . of course a higher action might fix the issue, but as of now, it ain't an issue so.. yeah....

yes kaya marami sa mga lumang gitara matataas ang action. even eric clapton called the old strats as crude. (but in the crudeness lies the beauty)

now think of this bro, yung mga gitaristang magagaling noong araw, for them to play fast then they must be real good.

imagine shredding on an old 54 strat na hindi low ang action. you must be really good to do that.

Just an hour ago, I tried playing "Snow" on a friend's CS Strat. Swabe talaga, katunog na katunog feeling ko. As an officemate says it: "Omaygawd!". I will sleep hearing that sound tonight ahaha!

Sorry for up-ing this thread with my gas. I got a feeling I'm turning into that rjsv guy, except that it's for strats. hehe.

Yeah, the Tele. I haven't switched to single coils yet since I can't afford the Dimarzio set I want, haha. How about the Strat?

I believe that's normal. Out of the factory, the 2nd tone control is wired for the middle pickup, if I remember correctly.

Yun talaga yung normal wiring. Yung neck and middle lang ang may tone control. Pero pwede rin namang i-wire yun para may tone control yung bridge para a la Eric Johnson.

After 4 years, ayos na ulit strat ko.:)

The best guitar talaga ito for me. Here is me testing all pickup positions.

** This is a Jap guitar called Fresher, nabili ko na pinalitan na yung decals, not a fender. But I love the tone.
