This thread is dedicated to all music fans who appreciate music considered "baduy" or "jologs" by people who proclaimed themselves as having 'good taste" in music...

some of my treasured cds are albums of artists labeled "baduy" by these "music messiahs" :

There's no such thing as baduy...walang sinoman ang may karapatan na tawaging baduy ang isang artist or song....

We all have our own personal tastes...and cool sa akin ay maaring baduy sa iyo...or vice versa.

Ang masasabi ko lang ay maaring wala sa tamang lugar or pagkakataon yung mga ganyang song kaya kala eh baduy...halimbawa, wag ka magpatugtog ng April Boys sa mga metalheads or classical musicians...dahil magre-react sila...ganun lang...


Respeto lang sa bawat isa...

I never use "jologs" or "baduy" to describe music I don't like. Parang discriminatory kasi e. Mas sinasabi ko pang "panget" at saka "basura." lols

Iba-iba lang talaga ng tastes natin. Pero to be honest, napaka-basura talaga ng 7 or 8 out of ten sa list mo, fox69. Sensya na. :lol:

no problem...ako naman, i really like the CDs in my list ...but i also like the CDs of bob dylan, bjork, led zeppelin,  chick corea, danzig, clannad, yoyo-ma, metallica, suzannne vega and erykah badu...so i guess tama ka na iba-iba lang talga ang tastes natin

kaya nga naimbento yung salitang baduy or jologs eh,para gamitin paminsan-minsan...kung hindi maganda sa pandinig or wala sa tono, di ba sinasabi rin naman nating sintonado...sa pananaw ko,pag-ginamit ko yung salitang baduy or jologs according to my taste,meaning ay nagiging totoo lang ako sa sarili ko...kaya ok lang tawagin na baduy ang isang bagay or in this case ay mga songs such as listed by the TS...

sabi nga nung isang nag-reply, respeto lang...this is my statement so respeto lang, indeed...  :mrgreen:

baduy para sakin ay Lito Camo music and most of the novelty ones...  :mrgreen:

--------with all due respect bro, i also have friends in our music industry na hindi mo matatawaran ang galing sa musika at pagtugtog...but to surprise you, gumagawa din sila ng mga songs na hindi according sa musical taste nila but for the money, because that's what they do for a living, and they themselves call some of their works as baduy...and i tell you, it is so True, funny how it seems...ehehe...i wont name names na lang...  :mrgreen:

It's all good really. Nasa sa iyo na yun if you want to listen to them for the long haul.

They have their place. And as long as people buy their records, ok na yun.

I guess that baduy stuff came in to being because the masses who are not into complicated things. I mean yung lang ang kaya nilang intindihin e. I dare you to try to expose them to John Coltrane baka sapakin ka pa nila.

People who have the luxury of time and money can go explore the heavier side of things.

It's just that I know of someone who has this credo: if it's popular, it's crap!
He hates the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen, Black Sabbath, Metallica etc..
He is heavily into Allan Holdsworth, Cirith Ungol, Pere Ubu, Amon Duul, stuff like that.

o kahit patugtugin pa sa airwaves.

theres just some dudes na mas feeling nila angat sila kapag hindi alam ng nakakarami yung influences niya.. (na minsan hindi din naman talaga nya gusto may masabi lang na iba sya sa iba).. madami yan... nagkalat
