Ang current FX chain ko eh
Loop: 535Q Wah > Vol Pedal > Chorus > Digital Delay > Sonic Stomp
Front: Compressor > Distortion

Saan nakalagay yung wah nyo? Pag kasi iniligay ko yung wah sa harap ng compressor at distortion, nalulunod na kahit mahina lang yung gain. Parang nagiging napakakitid ng sweep. Para tuloy all or nothing yung wah fx nya. Hindi ko talaga makuha ang magandang setting. Tuloy nakalagay sa loop para lang marinig. Pero sobra naman ang volume clipping pag after distortion ang wah, oh pag nasa loop.
Tulong naman kung paanong settings nyo. Saan naka set yung selector knob and Q control nyo?

For a couple of years, I used mine before distortion. Only recently I put it after the distortion. It gave me a more pronounced "wah". IMO.

You know what, I've never done it like that, but I think greenweenie has a point. I've always have my wah before the distortion. The only time I get wah definition problem is when I set the dist in too high of a gain seting. Try placing your wah after distortion chain. It's like, your not distorting the wah but your wah-ing your distortion (if that make sense, hehe).

yun talaga yung badtrip jan bro. i put my wah after the distortions/drive pedals.. the problem with this setup, once you turn on the wah, sobrang halata yung tonal change ng dist mo. siguro, ayusin mo na lang sa Q control mo yung range, so that when you turn it on, hindi sobrang drastic ang change sa tone... kapaan na lang.. depende rin kasi sa settings mo sa dist/OD. just my two cents

dude, put it before your distortion but after the compressor if you still want significant volume boosts, assuming that your Q range is set to high. otherwise, put it before both distortion and compression stages so that the volume level will still be relatively the same even after the wah modulates the signal

from what i've heard, the dunlops weren't really built for cutting through high gain. i think the dimebag wah was built specifically for that. the morley bad horsies and the tremonti also.

i put mine in front, before the compression and dist. oo nga, mejo less pronounced yung wah pero it's definitely more usable because the levels are even.

have you tried in front, pero naka-off yung comp?

Thanks for all the replies. Sorry ngayon lang ako nakasagot dahil nasa trabaho ako. I'll just try all the suggested placement to see which one can produce the tonal enhancement I'm looking for. I've tried the distortion before wah before. Angat nga yung effect pero medyo talaga 'over'.

Cho, ang pangit talaga ng tunog eh. Alam ko yun yung ideal placement, pero talagang walang useable setting akong makapa. Ganun yung sequence ko nung una tayong nag EB.

im using a Bad horsie, super laki ng sweep...gesh now ko lang napansin, my pedalboard is turning into a Zoo, me bad monkey tsaka bad horsie, ano kaya sunod, snarling dogs?

I like my BH2.

..when I feel like doing some Vaisque grooves, I can just turn on the contour and volume feature and get that crying Vaisque sound.....and when I feel like doing some Satchy grooves, I just turn it off.

Kaso may deprensya yata ang switch nung wah ko. Minsan namamatay (hindi switched off) pag bahagyang napadiin yung tapak ko.

deyns crybaby original yung akin meng...classic siya...ok na ok for my application...

yung BH1 & 2 kasi parang ala akong narinig na "middle ground" sa kanya eh...kaya siguro seemingly ang laki ng sweep niya...kasi off...tapos diretsong treble kaagad sa toe down...ganda siya pag rock applications...

mas kelangan ko for clean tones kaya ako bumalik sa dunlop...para panking panki yung tunog...hehehe..

As far as Bart's problem with the switch. Your handy with electronics, check it out. Maybe its just some grounding problem. Kung problema pa buy a Bad Horsie.

sir suggestion lang...i used to have the same problem with my wah pedals..nilagyan ko ng maliit na piraso ng scotchbrite yun ilalim ng pedal eksakto sa switch para medyo kumapal yun foam nya sa ilalim ng pedal na dinikit ko ng double-sided tape para madali matanggal...kadalasan kasi numunipis na yun foam kakatapak...mas madali na sya ngayon i-switch on/off...hope this helps....
