IMHO, don't go MAC if you plan to use reaper. go for the MAC if you will be using LOGIC or Pro Tools.

secondly, yes. that laptop can do recording. but more of a 3 person acoustic track mostly? I don't think the processor can handle numerous tracks playing with VSTs loaded. at most, that PC can support 8 tracks with Vsts. it will not support a full band track recording i.e. more than 10 individual instrument tracks.

And yes multiplr track  talaga im using addictive drums then individual tracks din. Then im using bias positibe grid for guitar and bass tracks. I thought mac is best for the job.
Right now kasi gamit ko is asus laptop i3 6g ram
Multple tacks

how much will you get that mac?
based on the specs and year it was released, there will be a slight slow response you'll experience while on live settings.
 here's why.

i7 from 2011 might be the 2nd or 3rd generation. Pretty outdated than generation 4-6 today. If I were you, I might look for skylake generation of processors.
8gb ram is not enough for multi track recording. My colleague suggested to get 16gb atleast for recording purposes. VGA or graphic cards are less required though.

*just a cent.
