If i may intrude regarding the argument, Etiquette is needed for the guy. Kasi hindi naman pwede na tayo pa mag-aayos dahil as far as i know, before tayo magset na mga drummers, we tend to get our groove and momentum backstage, and this tends to disappear when something not in order occurs, like setting the drums back. I may understand some who still set up their gears to the kit, pero kasama pa rin sa momentum nila yun. Sukat ang oras nun unconsciously, so if anything out of the blue occurs, masisira momentum, masisira tugtugan. So etiquette guys. Want some respect? Then give it first.

haha this is like saying, "maybe you're a dickhead, but please don't be offended by it." the main idea of it is just wrong, akin to a bad erap joke. ano no, i'm not offended by it, thank you for your consideration. :)

fibric? maybe you meant "fiber" or "fabric"?

but yeah, i get what you're saying, i'm just saying that maybe someone should take a pro-active stance against this instead of just posting about it.

In one way or another, aayusin nyo ren yung kit.

Kayo naman yung may ettiquette, kamo, at nakakaintindi.  Wag na patulan.

Sige nga bigyan natin test run Kung May magrereply dito at buhay ang pinoydrums

This is one aspect of drumming that is not highlighted, puro na lang gears and techniques
,but a good etiquette with other fellow drummers in sharing with the seat in the drums.
Some friendship where even severed dahil dito.
Here's what's I have in mind

If you are the main act,you have the right to setup your gear as you want
If you are the supporting act ask nicely about modifying some setup and return it after you played, and offer help to the main act guy to bring back the setup Kung konti lang ang time.
If you are using someone's personal drums, don't tune it! It might not be the sound you want but would you like someone changing your tuning?
If you are going to a gig and want to borrow some gears to other person you don't know, don't be an ass if you get rejected. Nag Ingat lang sila sa gears nila,May pambayad Ka ba Kung masira mo yung gears nila?
If you are borrowing extra pair of sticks for back up,just be sure to use is as a backup.
Even though you are in a crappy set, don't add to the damage if it gave you a hard time.
Don't bring stuffs that you don't need! Don't bring a china, splash, timbalitos and use it for design, your just adding to setup time.
Use the drums you are using as your own even it sounds like crap.take care of it.
If you encounter a rock star drummer that you don't like, just smile and leave them alone.
If there is a sound guy, talk to him,he might help you with your sound.
Say thank you to everyone no matter how good or bad your gig is.

^^This

And/Or...

Kung hindi man main act, basta may ginalaw ka sa set, eg: binago ang height ng mga cymbal stand, pinalitan mo ang pedal, pinalitan mo ang snare, and so on, be sure to put back the default setup ng set.
We all ROCK, BUT GOD RULES!!!

I remember playing after this "metal" guy back in college.

Palit lahat. dala buong barangay. palit toms, dagdag 2 stand, lagay china, extra crash, palit hihat, crash at ride, adjust snare, palit double pedal.

after non, i realized i also need to cut down on setup time, so from the following setup:

14 hihat
6-8-10 splashes
16 crash
18 crash
21 ride
palit snare
palit pedal
clamps for 3 splashes
extra stand

eto na ngayon ako:

14 Hats (nagpapalit lang pag sobrang pangit nung nasa venue)
16 Crash
18 Ride (para madaling palitan)
Snare
Pedal
10 inch splash with arm.

setup time ko ngayon is faster, less hassle pa magdala ng gamit.

I also make sure na binabalik ko sa dati yung drum kit pag may pinalitan ako. pag may sunod sakin,  I make it a point na itanong sa next player kung ibabalik ko ba, or may papalitan siya.

If MAIN act, feel free to bring your own gears.

If not, remember first the setup and bring it back after you have your own setup.

From this, learn how to play a BASIC setup. Bar setup always have this. (Kick, rack tom, floor tom, snare, hats, crash, ride and single pedal)

 8-)

kung walang tech magtiis/magtiyaga wag mag reklamo...kung meron always say the magic words "please" and "thank you" "ser" "bosing" "kuya/ate" (ok ata kung ate hehe, meron ba?) and tulungan ang tech before/after kahit "token" help lang parang paabot-abot kesa manood/mag antay. di naman nya tayo amo...good deeds will lead to good words for you...kung may issue then tell it to the right person like yung me hawak sa crew, wag pagalitan yung tao...
