i never owned an SG, but one of my guitar idols was Angus Young. i tried one time in the early 90's, grabe, fast neck sya, baka modified (or whatever) or maybe the action, i can't remember but the feeling was exceptional.

i wish i could buy one someday.  :roll:

had SG's before.. too bad i had to let them go, specially the Flametop.. 
now, after the teles and strats, m back to the SG!

i resurrected this beauty!! with some paint chips and swirls, plus tarnished gold hadware, a real relic.. and it's made in Korea, quite heavy then the china made..



i have another still with my luthier.. a black Epiphone G-400 (china).

kuya delta i have local SG (with bigsby trem)copy i guess china ata to faded na kasi yung brand, hindi gnamit ng mayari kaya inarbor ko na. dahil na stock nagkaron ng paint cracks sa neck-body inbetweens. balak ko sana pa repaint and konting set up. suggestions po anu pang set up pwde ko pong gawin sa SG ko. thanks po..

again, that is the 'characteristic' of an SG, the neckdive. tama si stompmoko, get a good strap, let say a strap with leather as an inner layer, para kumapit sa body mo ung strap. check Rico Blanco's strap..

Here is a picture of my SG, an Epiphone G 400 Deluxe....

upgraded some parts like the nut and pickups, scalarized it.
Changed string gauges from .10 to .11

Ung Sound niya.... How do I describe it.... It drives the amps so hard you can hear it cracking!!! :)

di ko pa siya natry sa 4x12 with tube amp.... cguro dun lalabas ung tunay niyang lakas. :)

i got it for 22k  at everymusicph.com last dec 2007... :) kau dapat dati ung bilhan ko ng les paul jr.... kaso aun... nung time na un eh kulang pera ko... so eto na binili ko... ok naman siya....


aun hot rodded na.... hehe. di ko na lang pininturahan kasi bihira n ang may ganitong kulay na sg... :)

I had an Epiphone SG years ago.  It was one of the best playing and sounding guitars I had ever owned.  Unfornately, I screwed up and left in my car overnight in freezing weather and the neck got eternally screwed.
