we had an interesting gig last sat. the most applauded song was a blues-gospel tune that started and ended a cappella. it just goes to show that blues is still primarily a vocal music and hits hardest as such.

I want to see BAMF play again. Swabe yung blues niya. Caling mga blues bradahs! Si Jon (Elegee) gusto nun!

Set na tayo date. Malamang weekend ito. Saturday? Friday? Sunday kasi family day ng mga tulad kong may family eh.

Suggestion ko na places:

Bri-iw
Mogwai
Big Sky Mind

Dun sa last two places, magdadala lang tayo gears, este, gear.

I can talk to the owners. Kung sa Bri-Iw ambagan na lang tayo ulit para di naman jahe na gamitin yung mga equipments, este, equipment.

Ito ang GREAT excuse ko para maka-toma. Hehehee.

hehehe, i was thinking more of Ten-02 eh. my cousin is the head chef nila Scarlet eh.. i'll be meeting with him about the mechanics, so hindi tayo mis-informed.

update ko kayo soon. may mga nagawa na akong design for a car sticker, game ba kayo? popost ko then lets try to find the cheapest na pagawaan nito..

Yes sir, Blue Rats had Apa Ongpin as a bassist before. Johnny Besa formerly of the Breed and Overdrive took his place a long time ago. The rest of the current roster is Mail Mislang on vocals, Vic Borgainy on drums, Tom Epperson on harp, Andy Locsin, myself and of course, Senyor Joey Puyat on guitars.

tama, we used to jam with the Blue Rats way back 1996-97 i think, sa mexicali alabang pag blues night.. hehehe.. long time ago. i was follwer of the breed before because of a common friend with Charlie Y hehehe, Johnny Besa na pala bassist, galing yan man, galing yan..

guys,

we will be having the "Pinoy Bluesmen Deluxe Blues Night" this march.

i have spoken to some establishments and most of them require a 'pricey' bar fine. now, i wanted us to have a great time, without feeling spending so much and be in a cozy place which most people are familiar with.

i have spoken to Alvin and i thought of making our Blues Night in BRI-IW, we have been playing there since last year and i find it cozy and 'at-homey' now that the stage is upstairs and the bar is downstairs, kinda reminds me of Club Dredd in Timog..hehehehe..

so bluesmen (and women), please help me make this event the way we wanted it to be. please let me know what day do you guys prefer: Saturday? Tuesday or Wednesday? let do this asap so i can have place reserved..

and let me know who'll be playing for the night let have 10 bands with at least 3 songs and max of 5. i'll start the line up with my band:

1. Bluestone Breakers

bro ok din sa genre bar sa cubao expo.ganda ng place.bri iw is a fine place as well as nine mile bar in kalayaan ave.ok yang ginagawa mo man.collaborate tau nina bjorn(changemynametojimi) at si chox(masterchoxter).
kung may banda lang ako na blues sama ako e.i might go there as a jammer/rhythm guitarist,haha.mag praktis muna ako.

no prob bro, in between band numbers, may open jam. let's limit it to max of 3 guitarsits per jam or four kung may dala kayong amp.. and 1 or 2 songs lang.. para makapag enjoy ang lahat. i also hope na may mga guest bands tayo..
