Jun looks to be in better shape now and at least he now has some kind of workshop indoors.

Parang buff na buff and bumata itsura nya...

Also, yung workplace nya has really improved. Kudos to sir Jun...

First time, I brought a guitar para pasetup, sa kalye pa lng sya gumagawa.. biruan pa nga nun e kaya "roadtone" ang name kasi sa kalsada sya nagawa... Pero major props to the man... I dont know if its his "magic ruler" or his hands pero he did the best intonation setup sa Stratty ko... save the axe from being sold....

hmmm im sure theres a good reason why di pa napapasaiyo ung guitar sir feraskulio. pero we will never really know if someone doesnt ask diba. bukas baka dumaan ako kay mang jun. gonna have my strat chekd up. if pwede aantayin ko na dun matapos. pero if not, i might call him up after a 3 days, and then after that. Baka busy din kasi si Mang Jun and he might forget things unintentionally. But no harm done. Basta maayos nagawa. I remember once i had my older strat refretted and i needed it badly. So i brought it to him and said that i needed it RUSH talaga. so after every two or 3 days i checked up on it and after 8days narefret na, with intonation, fret level and neck adjusted.

I've never been to a luthier where I did not experience bad customer service. I've tried all 3 well known ones, including Jun. But I never held anything against them. With Jun, I guess being friends with him helps, I can talk to him about it.

Your guitar is your responsibility. Whining in here will not get you results. Puntahan mo and be upfront with your demands. Madali naman sya kausap eh.

I think Mang Jun has a reason kung bakit na-delay yung paggawa sa guitar.

Waste of money and time...May ginagamit nman akong ibang gitara...

Sinasabi nman nya yung reason, bottomline di pa gawa, wala glue or something, so again no point in coming...

I've never been to a luthier where I did not experience bad customer service. I've tried all 3 well known ones, including Jun. But I never held anything against them. With Jun, I guess being friends with him helps, I can talk to him about it.

Madali naman sya kausap eh. ---- Yes responsibility ko yun, mahal kaya yun, pagawa at yung mismong gitara.  And for the record nobody's whining, although I think you're all whining how i handle the situation....  :-D

Never said he wasn't, mabait, that is...

:-D And for the record, bayad na ko...

Ayus may thread si Mr. Jun Castro!  I hope this thread serves as a good reference for one of the best luthiers we have in the country. :D

I'm one of the satisfied customers ni Mang Jun.  Lahat ng gitara ko (electric or acoustic), sya nag setup.  Napila din ako pag nagpapagawa, matagal man sulit pa din.  Worth every peso I spent ksi laging pulido pag may pinagawa ako.

I think most of you also experienced this.

To put it simply, I'm one of the loyal customers. _\m/

pre kahit mga tatlong oras man lang ng buhay mo or kahit isang araw na, hindi mo kayang ibigay para mapuntahan mo yung gitara mo para macheck mismo or mabawi man lang? if you really care about your guitar gagawan mo ng paraan. kung ginagawan mo na ng paraan pero wala padin, shmpre better kung puntahan mo na talaga. may sundays naman ata diba?  :-)

Saw him featured in TV Patrol, Cesar Montano always mentions him in Singing Bee. That is respect earned from other people.

yeah.. just recently, cesar montano's guitar was there when i went there... may pinapaayos sya..kaya lang di na nya naipakita saakin kasi may nakadagan na ibang guitar case.. bastat sabi nya mamahalin daw ang guitar ni cesar
