1.) Fill the basin with warm water (wag boiling! basta warm)
2.) Add the baking soda
3.) Submerge the cymbal (swimming swimming)
4.) After a while (siguro about 10-20mins), kunin mo na yung cymbal then rinse mo siya ng water.
5.) Punasan ang cymbal, done.

Here, these are my results from earlier. (sorry, just took shots with camphone kaya mejo mababa yung quality)

Zildjian ZBT Hi-hats (4 years old)

Here it is, the Sabian Xs20 Crash, tignan niyo yung effects ng GLO.  :|

Paiste Innovations Crashride, ito grabe, parang brand new! (4 years old)

ayos 'tong method na to. tatry ko mamaya.

alam ko nag post na ako dito before... so this will be an update to my post..

WD40 - it works pero kinabukasan, may mga RAINBOW na yung cymbals mo.. and if unattended, maging mancha yung rainbow na yun. (so sablay to in the long run, pero sa madalian or mabilisang linis, pwede na to).

GLO - nakaka linis din to at parang DW40 din ang effect where sandali lang eh nagkaka stain agad. This is what I really don't recommend. masisira cymbals mo dito sa prolonged use.

Lemon or other citrus fruits - Eto minimal lang ang effect then malagkit pero FRESH SMELLING na cymbals mo! hahaha..

Baking sode - I haven't tried this..

Oxalic - Eto kung gusto mong mag AGE yung cymbals mo.. eto gamitin mo! hehe.. Pero the best ito sa mga hardwares like lugs, rims, stand, etc.

Lazer cheap-o cleaner - This is totally waste of 250 pesos.

Zildjian Cleaner - The best to, matrabaho, mahal pero ang end result naman eh malufet!! makintab at parang may coat sya ng protection (like wax) na hindi agad nag rurust/stain yung cymbal.

Sabian - I Haven't tried this.. kasi wala naman akong Sabian.

Jack's Sikrit_wipon_swiss_army_knife_ala_McGyver_cleaning method - ETO ANG THE BEST!!!   :-D

Pero the best CARE you can give your cymbal is...
Play it properly
- Mount it looooooosely sa stand, hwag i-choke. otherwise mag crack yan.
- Don't hit it DIRECTLY in the middle or at the edge. (glancing motion is the best).
- Avoid metal to metal contact (during transpo or during mounting atthe stand).
- buy a decent paded bag for your pies...

hope this helps..

This has been my problem for 24 years in my drumming careeer until i accidentally found a solution. Tide Ultra and MC metal polish lang bro.
SALAMAT

the best cleaner i know so far is the solution used to clean jewelry. sobrang mahal nga lang kahit sa divisoria bumili. clear liquid sya na nasa maliit na bote...250 pataas ang presyo nun. mas mahal kung sa gumagawa ng alahas bibilin.
