before cleaning, get some duct tape and cover it by following the logos shape
after cleaning, use WD40 to remove excess sticky substance created by the tape

always cover it with cloth when not in use
after playing (choking cymbals etc..) always wipe those finger prints created by sweat of hands

What I usually do for added protection, is after cleaning/polishing it using a cymbal cleaner, I put car wax. I put on a thin coat then polish it to perfection.  :-D
It keeps the cymbal proctected from dirt, stains, or those grimmy/sweaty hands after use.

yah my friend had told me that before,.. but i have no idea on how much, where to buy that car wax

IMO its more ideal for B8 alloy such as ZBT's Sabian B8's Etc...

because after thorough cleaning,.. same stains slowly appears again or i should say its very easy to gain stain than B20 alloys,..

just want to ask.. does cleaning with wax, or cymbal cleaners make the cymbal thinner/manipis because of the chemicals, etc?? it makes it clean, like brand new but on the other hand does it makes the cymbal brittle?  :?

may nakita akong cleaning paste sa bahay.
ngayon ko lang napansin to so i gave it a try.

tapos to my amazement with a little help with the scrub, kumintab ng konte yung bell
nawala yung dirt,and some stain.
but to no avail isang wipe lang sa logo burado agad :-(

it has glycerin in it,can it harm other cymbals?

WARNING!!
wag mna ult gmitin yan bro sa cymbals mo..Moisture lng mkkha m jan..
At isa pa Glycerin are used as CATALYST on metals..
Catalyst w/ Glycerin are Superior than NaOH( Caustic Soda are example )..Depende sa concentration
Kaya nyan alisin grooves sa cymbals mo or either tunawin ang cymbal kpg marami nalagay
Kea icipin mo ung Logo alis agad..Ganu ktapang yan..Unlike Cymbal Cleaners

Risky business to.

If you really gotta clean it non-acid based cleaners will do. If you want darker sounds, don't bother cleaning it.

Nakatayo or nakahiga?

But in my case hindi naka store ang hats ko since yung combined weight nya eh parang delikado sa ride cymbal hehe. Ok sana kung kasing presyo ng kendi ang mga to okey lang na mayupi (better safe than sorry) ^^,

for me it depends sa bow ng cymbal  :-D

if malalim naman ang bow ng cymbal
pwede tayo mag stack from splash to ride

example

22" Ride
19" Crash
17"Crash
13" Hats
12" splash
10" splash

i believe na magkaka gap padin sila kahit gabuhok lang
depends padin talaga sa model ng cymbal
experiment nalang po

kapag nag stack from ride down to splash and hindi umangat yung ride, for me its a go  :-)

+1,000,000 carabaos for this.. Mahahalikan kita sa weyfu Vhinming haha. This worked for me. My ride actually hugged my crash and hats nicely (salamat sa malalim na bow nya). Thinking out of the box (in this case, cymbal case) = WIN.

mga poging philmusicians!
I'm planning to have a general cleaning for my cymbals (K custom dark Ride, Stag DH crash, Avedis crash, avedis hats)
These are the steps that I'm going to do, correct me kapag may nakita kayong mali sa gagawin ko.

Step 1:

a.) Prepare for hot water (hindi kumukulo).
b.) Prepare for bandera, ung pang labahan.
     c.) Prepare for baking soda
     d.) Prepare several dry cloths,
e.) Prepare WD-40 and car wax (turtle wax)
     f. ) Tissue

Step 7: apply car wax.

Will it result to a shiny almost brand new looking cymbal?  :?

baka matanggal yung logo pagtanggal ng duct tape or worse paglagay mo ng WD40 mabura na for good. try sandwiching tissues in between the logo and sa duct tape, yung part na lang na nakadikit is yung outside ng logo area/part. :-)
